The Roots...

The Roots...

The Roots are scheduled to release their greatest hits set, Homegrown Volume 1 & 2: The Beginner's Guide To Understanding The Roots.

The two discs feature classic songs from The Roots' six albums with Geffen and the now-defunct MCA Records: 1994's Do You Want More, 1996's Illadelph Halflife, 1999's Things Fall Apart, 1999's The Roots Come Alive, 2002's Phrenology and last year's The Tipping Point.

The collection also includes cuts from The Legendary's first effort, Organix; and features guest appearances by Mos Def, Jill Scott, Common, Raphael Saadiq, D'Angelo and Roy Ayers. The CDs will also include rare remixes and previously unreleased tracks.

The Roots' Homegrown Volume 1 & 2: The Beginner's Guide To Understanding The Roots hits stores November 15th.

Asante sana for this information, Queen.

I'm checking out Organix right now, and you can really here the promise in the music. Questlove even rhymes on the album!!

I'll be sure to check it out when it drops. Thanks again.

Peace.

Some people take themselves WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, when in actuality, no one else is really taking them as seriously as they think.
