Yo this verse here is one of the most honest i've heard. It makes me wanna cry every time I hear it.

It shames me to no end,
To feed poison to those who could very well be my kin (uh huh)
But where there's demand, someone will supply
So I feed them their needs at the same time cry
Yes it pains me to see them need this
All of them lost souls and I'm their Jesus
Deepest regret and sympathy to the street
I see no pity for they fix when they kids couldn't eat (so sorry)
And with this in mind, I still didn't quit
And that's how I know, that I aint shit (I aint shit)
My heart bleed but that's aside from the fact,
I live for my kids and theirs and them youngins after that

      Clipse- I'm not you

      Intro: KRS-One
Ah yeah, that's whatcha say when you see a devil down
Ah yeah, that's whatcha say when you take the devil's crown
Ah yeah, stay alive all things will change around
      Ah yeah, what? Ah yeah!
      Verse One: KRS-One
So here I go kickin science in ninety-five
I be illin, parental discretion is advised still
dont call me nigga, this MC goes for his
Call me God, cause that's what the black man is
Roamin through the forest as the hardest lyrical artist
Black women you are not a bitch you're a Goddess
Let it be known, you can lean on KRS-One
Like a wall cause I'm hard, I represent GOD
Wack MC's have only one style: gun buck
But when you say, Let's buck for revolution
They shut the fuck up, kid, get with it
Down to start a riot in a minute
You'll hear so many Bowe-Bowe-Bowe, you think I'm Riddick
While other MC's are talkin bout up with hope down with dope
I'll have a devil in my infrared scope, WOY!
That's for calling my father a boy and, KLAK KLAK KLAK!
That's for putting scars on my mother's back, BO!
That's for calling my sister a hoe, and for you
BUCK BUCK BUCK, cause I don't give a motherfuck
Remember the whip, remember the chant, remember about rope and
you black people still thinkin about vot-ing
Every president we ever had lied
You know I'm kinda glad Nixon died!
      Chorus
      Verse Two: KRS
This is not the first time I came to the planet
But everytime I come, only a few could understand it
I came as Isis, my words they tried to ban it
I came as Moses, they couldn't follow my commandments
I came as Solomon, to a people that was lost
I came as Jesus, but they nailed me to a cross
I came as Harriet Tubman, I put the truth to Sojourner
Other times, I had to come as Nat Turner
They tried to burn me, lynch me and starve me
So I had to come back as Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley
They tried to harm me, I used to be Malcolm X
Now I'm on the planet as the one called KRS
Kickin the metaphysical, spiritual, tryin to like
get wit you, showin you, you are invincible
The Black Panther is the black answer for real
In my spiritual form, I turn into Bobby Seale
On the wheels of steel, my spirit flies away
      and enters into Kwame Ture

      KRS-Ah YEah

And the fuzz treat bruh's like they manhood never was,
And if you too powerful, you get bugged like Peter Tosh and Marley was.

Some people take themselves WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, when in actuality, no one else is really taking them as seriously as they think.

[The Grand Verbalizer Funkin' Lesson Brother J]

I was sittin by the river with my warrior's gun
A bunch of caveboys tried to house my drum
I never bust a sweat because it's not at all tragic
      VOO-DOO, runnin from my magic!
I came across the sand on my faith alone
Eatin cooked meat while you gnawed the bone
Sittin by the fire while you froze in cave
A bunch of silly thieves with the nerve to say you're brave
I think you're cowards; fightin systematically and chemically conniving
Cause you never liked us but it seems you're always trying
to say we're dumb but it seems you're always thriving...
from the science.. so now I bear you
Sit, heed the words and raise the flag to prepare you
for the coming of the ones who never fear you
Don't you know a brother like myself will only dare you,
to act foolish? We have come
Child of the sandbox, follow through the drum
We have come from with the mathematic sum
Now you wanna ask what's the dum-diddy-dum? The X, Shalom

It's a shame, when n****s gon' realise we're the same
Helpin the enemy win the game
If you a player, use precision, don't make a decision in haste
Blood is a terrible thing to waste

      (Cee-Lo)

I try to make sense outta nonsense each and every day
I got to cuz things is kinda crazy round the way
Each word that I say may cut you like a knife
may totally influence and change somebody life
Who me? I'm 19, and blessed to have seen
      what I already seen
      Life taught me a lot
Like you ain't gotta carry no gun to get shot
Ain't gotta be no junkie for effects from the high
A liquor store on every corner that you walk by
I watch my n****s die for no reason
In my neighbourhood ain't nothin changed but the seasons
Them crackers don't give a f**k, then again why should they
They evil from their head to they toes so how could they
You could say, the biggest problem in the black community is lack of unity
I love you but I ain't gon' let you pray for me
So if we must shed blood so be it
The end is comin I can see it
Yeah, the end is comin I can see it.....
      It's in the blood

      From Then Till Now-Killah Priest

      0 Not allowed! Not allowed!
      Killah Priest

      Guns, shootouts and crack sales
Black males who pack jails, trapped in hell
No peace, cold streets, surrounded by po-lice
this whole week, buildings with no heats
No lights, the gas pipes the snow leaks
Dog fights and lowlife throw dice the whole night
      Thieves, creepin
in the midnight evenings, saw through the misty regions
Go to your house, take a vial for the demons
      Moon in, the lunar eclipse
Prophets stand in the midst of the seven candlesticks
I can't take it, beauty that was once sacred
is now gettin facelifts, fake tits, and fake lips
      Cold embraces
      Memory erases, from the slaveships
My princess, I used to spot her from a distance
      Holdin my infant, burnin incense
The moment intent, for her to step into my wife tents
Now we step in pre-sents, for your ebony prince
The smell of frankencense; once treated like a pharoah
With royal apparel, annointed with myrrh and aloe
We used to wallow, amongst the mallows
We had herd sheep and cattle, now we battle
Used to pass over Brooks of Qe'ron
Towers of Lebanon, the pool of Gechron
We used to sing songs, upon Mount Hebron
How his gold turned to bronze, and shhh....
How his gold turned to bronze
We was the wisest and the richest, now we turn to snitches
Women turn to bitches, in the time of harvest
We was the smartest, worshipped Wisdom like the Goddess
Now we act retarded, forsook the Wisdom of the Fathers
We use to have a thousand flagons of wine
In Palestine now we drink Ballentine
And raise up in the violent mind
We used to have a hundred measures of oil, eighty measures
of wheat and barley, we live Godly
Listening to Bob Marley, before the devils robbed me
Chasin us through the African safaris

      Artist: Styles P f/ Floetry
      Album: I'm Black 12"
      Song: I'm Black

      (I'm Black)
Whether I'm poor or rich, or rich or poor
Though its all the same shit
      (I'm Black)
Even though my skins kind of light
That means my ancestors was raped by somebody white
      (I'm Black)
So I like to sing dance and crack jokes
Eat good food and be around black folks
      (I'm Black)
Sort of like the Holys on Sundays
Drink all night and still go to work monday
      (I'm Black)
So I like the kids looking real nice
Cuz I've been poor and I know what it feels like
      (I'm Black)
And I'ma say it loud like James Brown
People be proud cuz we all up in the game now
      (I'm Black)
And I'ma hold my right fist real high
Might see my man and we might get real high
      (I'm Black)
And I know it, and I aint afraid to show it
      (I'm Black)
And I'm the genius in the motherfuckin Poet
      You know it

      (Ohh Ohhh)

      Chorus (Floetry)
So proud to be just who I'am
So proud to say that I'm me...
So proud to be just who I'am
So proud to be so free
      (I'm Black)
So proud to say that I made it
      (I'm Black)
The one who struggled in the hatred
      (I'm Black)
And I'm not afraid to say it
      (I'm Black..Cuz I know I'm Sinking)

      (I'm Black)
So I gotta heart full of bravery
Do for my peoplez that went through Slavery
      (I'm Black)
So you know I'm young in the sports
Nintey percent chanced I get hunged in the Court
      (I'm Black)
Don't you be scared of me Mister
Cuz you don't really seem to be scared of my sister
      (I'm Black)
And I can ride first class too
Or buy an exotic car and like murk past you
      (I'm Black)
And I don't need a tan in the winter
Mind strong and powerful now a cypher can't enter
      (I'm Black)
And I don't need jewelry to shine
Look in my skin color is like the jewelry is blind
      (I'm Black)
They focus on the negative attention
Do something positive, and never get mentioned
      (I'm Black)
Listen it's a fact, original man
I wouldn't change it if I could and thats that

      Chorus(Floetry)
So proud to be just who I'am
So proud to say that I'm me...
So proud to be just who I'am
So proud to be so free
      (I'm Black)
So proud to say that I made it
      (I'm Black)
The one who struggled in the hatred
      (I'm Black)
And I'm not afraid to say it
      (I'm Black)
      (I'm Black...I'm Black...Ohh...Yeah...Yeah)

      (I'm Black)
      Even with a caramel complextion
Look in the mirror see Malcolm and Martin reflection
      (I'm Black)
Just like the PANTHERS, looking for an answer
It's prejudice shit is like a cancer
      (I'm Black)
Look in my eyes the wall can't get pulled over
Look in my cars and stay gettin pulled over
      (I'm Black)
Me the public enemies number one
Government looking in the hood sending in the gun
      (I'm Black)
I grew up off the good time show
Drink liquor smoke weed and let the good times roll
      (I'm Black)
I live for my wife and my seeds
And my mom with a bond only God can acceed
      (I'm Black)
I got to show my homeboys love
First thing you learnt in the hood is homeboy love
      (I'm Black)
And I'm mad if I ain't nuthin else
      (I'm Black)
I'm beautiful and I love myself (Say together)
      YEAH! (Love myself...Ohh yeah)

      Chorus(Floetry)
So proud to be just who I'am
So proud to say that I'm me...
So proud to be just who I'am
So proud to be so free
      (I'm Black)
So proud to say that I made it
      (I'm Black)
The one who struggled in the hatred
      (I'm Black)
And I'm not afraid to say it
      (I'm Black)
      (I'm Black...I'm Black...Yeah)

      BLACK & PROUD:

      [ VERSE 1 ]
      Blessed with the talented format
I'm kickin the earth like a doormat
The more I grow the more I understand
And I don't really care about a grafted man
Cause he wants to mold me, shape and carve me
But I use my mind like Marcus Garvey
Dr. King was a man with the new faith
They got rid of him, that was the last day
Clueless clucks, the men of a Klan
Cult to crucify the intelligent blackman
Honoured as African and die as a dweller
Reach out to teach like Nelson Mandela
      Power for all my people
The Rebel's back and the brothers are equal
So let's unite so we can all resist him
Black, the shade of the solar system
Freedom of speech, I scream it loud
Proud to be black cause black I'm proud

      [ VERSE 2 ]
I'm livin this race like a marathon
And I'm goin out like Farrakhan
But he's not out cause the brother is all in
The blackman was here since the day it began
Beware, the cursed seed is out there
Tragedy will live for a light year
As long as we fight and go all out for each other
Black'll be the color of my brothers
Find your ancestors and what they did
      Cause intelligent blacks built pyramids
Seek and obtain, you'll find descriptions
      Pyramids were built by Egyptians

Who put up plantations to work the fastest
Mothers and sisters raped by slavemasters
Gamed by the devil and swift talkers
And till this day my brothers are sleepwalkers
Tricked by the devil to feel inferior
In all reality my people are superior

Freedom of speech, I scream it loud
Proud to be black cause black I'm proud

Short, no rhyme, but so powerful

"...these crakkkas ain't nuthin' wit' out paper they look at us as nuthin'..."

-Young Chris (Young Gunz) in Beanie Sigel's "I Can't Go On This Way"
We are not citizens of amerikkka. We are victims of amerikkka.

      No Omega

This dude started the song with the words, "I'm the Alpha with no omega..." After that has been said what else in all of hip hop can compare. Really The R said, he is the beginning without ending. No matter how many drugs you sell, how many women you have sex with, how much "ice" you have in one song, It will never compare to being eternal. We could shoot every cracka on the planet in one song and this would not compare. I have written poetry having been blessed by the most high to say awesome things and still nothing...I have combed the catalogs of hip hop history and found nothing as powerful or serene as these few words. It is an all encompassing line!!!
