Prof. X Joins the Ancestors

DEATH NOTICE Robert K. Carson a.k.a Lumumba a.k..a Professor X, made his transition on Friday 17 March 2006. Friends and family are mourning the sudden death of this founder of rap group X Clan, this pioneering hip hop legend and noted activist. According to his family, after a brief hospital stay at Interfaith Medical Center in Crown Heights Brooklyn, Carson succumbed to complications from astma and meningitis on Friday afternoon. The 49-year-old father of two was the son of famous Brooklyn activist Abubadika 'Sonny' Carson, who himself passed away in December 2003. Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized.
