HipHop has become a fad now, but spoken word and jazz paved the way for HipHop. I see more and more people including myself who are educating younger people on different music that is fundamental for the mind so they can preserve it and make more fundamental music.

As a Jamaican I can tell you straight up that Hip Hop/rap
stretches out here harddddd. I am a younger born mid 80's
so I would not categorize myself as proper oldschool, however an important point must not be missed which is
evolotion or change. When I listened to rap 1st was tu Pac
and A tribe called quest. Even though Tu Pac was spitting
gangsta Rap he has that Revoultionary Fire that these
clones don't have, including Biggie I can't remember any
songs Biggie did with something decent to Meds (meditate)
on. Pac made songs like Keep Ya head up, Hold on Be strong, Panther Power, Trapped, u know u know. But change
even I as a younger has noticed this change for the worst.
Elders Keep listening your thing just use balance as with
everything. That bullshit they makin now that's dead, old
      skool forever baaaabbby.
