Thumbs up Mos Def - "The New Danger"

Anyone heard his new album? Mos put alot of creativity into this one, A blend of rock, hip hop, soul music and his own unique-ness. I can't even find the proper words to describe this album. All I can say is this is "Originality". True Hip Hop, way on point.

Yeah...unfortunately I bought this album. I think it was garbage. Well...there were a "few" good cuts on this album but I was HELLA dissapointed...and I am a SUPA DUPA Mos Def fan (I've ALWAYS liked him better than Talib Kweli too...STILL DO). Right now I am mostly into "underground" (Mos is like the "mainstream version" of "underground" LOL).

I love this album. It's a new thing for him. I love Mos Def so I'll support all of his efforts. I feel like he let us in on a part of him that he's always had but has been waiting for the right time to show it all. He gave hints about the direction his music was going and now we're surprised when he gets there! I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

I like "The Rape Over" and "Close Edge" (ESPECIALLY "Close Edge") and that song he did when he was talking about Brooklyn (but which song is he NOT talking about Brooklyn in??? LOL!!! but you KNOW the song I'm talking about). Those songs are hot.
