      about FREEDOM'S JOURNAL:

"Freedom's Journal" which was established in NY by Samuel E. Cornish & John B. Russwurm in 1827-1829. The name of this collective is "COMPLETION" which is a Hip-Hop group that consist of two members, Trance The MC & Mr. Emphatic! This group displays a wide range of vocabulary concepts accompanied by a politically charged analysis of the Black experience, complimented by a solid array of beats and rhymes. These two wordsmiths do not have a problem w/waving the flag of the conscious rapper as they aspire to re-introduce a stable equilibrium to the genre of hip-hop, by utilizing principles, creativity and awareness. With a true respect for the art form, Completion stands firm in maintaining their artistic integrity while promoting hip-hop's ability to educate as well as entertain. Angela Y. Davis was quoted in the Essence Magazine as saying, Music can be utilized as a vehicle of consciousness. This statement soundly exemplifies Completion.

I downloaded this album as soon as it came out and listened to it that same night. I LOVE it! It's been a while since an album moved me like Completion's did.

They get MAJOR props from me. It's a nice mix of edutainment as well as showing their intimate sides, all the while keeping it revolutionary.

Some people take themselves WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, when in actuality, no one else is really taking them as seriously as they think.

      Completion has a myspace: http://www.myspace.com/completionmusic

I asked Mr. Emphatic about donating (I felt the album was too good to NOT pay for it), and he said this to me:

"No need to make a donation family...willfully you will be just as or even more enthusiastic about the new material we will be conceptualizing, then you can make a donation...lol"

So the next album that comes out from these talented brothers, I'm giving them some duckets, no question.
