Two men after my own heart!!!!!

John Coltrane is my ultimate beloved muscian of this life. I was on Miles Davis, Bird Parker, Dizzy Gillespie too...but the more I'd listen to them all, the more he grabbed me, especially after Acknolwedgement and its instant power it added to the film "Mo Better Blues" (one of my favorites).

I love our vibe in here. Its so Beautiful, man.

I had to edit my list..cuz I'm no hip hop girl. I am more the culture than the music. I respect and love some artists..but jazz and soul have my heart eternally.

I'm praciting being true to self in this season....

      lol, aight, yall too funny.

I know my list is very "typical" but those are the albums I never get tired of. I have met many artists and albums that I have absolutly loved n still love... but after some time (it can be weeks, months or years) the illusion decrease... It doesnt happen with lauryn, erykah and alicia, and even tho d'angelo and maxwell aint "my favourite artists of all time" I never get tired of these two albums, always perfect to sleep or take a shower and ben harper's Fight for your mind is perfect anytime lol

      DONNIE HATHAWAY

      THE GAP BAND

      TUPAC SHAKUR

Earth, Wind & Fire - "ALL N ALL" - "Spirit" I love everything they made
until they became infiltrated by yt. The vibe went
down after that. My point exactly!

Isley Bros - "Summer Breeze" , "Fight The Power" , "Who's That Lady"

The Ojays - "Money, Money, Money" , "Ship Ahoy" , "Back Stabbers"

Tupac - "All Eyez On Me" , "Makavelli" , "2pocalypse"

James Brown - "I got something that makes you wanna shout, I got
something that tells you what it's all about, I got SOUL
and I'm Super Bad. I got it, I got it. I got SOUL and
      I'm Super Bad
      "
"What we need, SOUL POWER, got to have it, SOUL
      POWER!

i agree with all y'all so i'll try not to re-name anybody, but just gotta add on:

PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC (without whom many of those mentioned wouldn't even .. oh never mind)

      GIL SCOTT-HERON

      CURTIS MAYFIELD

      DONNY HATHAWAY

and whatchall know about THE NEW BIRTH

      or how about MANDRILL

ok that's five, but i hafta mention THE UNDISPUTED TRUTH and what naturally follows is LTD

Ummm... was Bob Marley, Fela, Linton Kwesi Johnson, or anybody int'l mentioned? If so, i'm sorry to reiterate the obvious!

oh yeah, and i love Jill dearly, but Erykah is just so much more revolutionary, fearless, experimental and funkadelic wid it that she holds my heart.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE AND TOTALLY FORGOT TO MENTION MY ULTIMATE VOICE ..... LAURYN HILL.

SHE BLESSES ALL HER VOICE AND GUITAR-STRUMMING FINGERS TOUCH!

(listening to Carlos Santana, her and Cee Lo on the "Do You Like The Way" track bless the ENTIRE album sweetly, warmly, completely for me....)
