      Lightbulb Reflection

      0 Not allowed! Not allowed!
      My good, beautiful people,

As you can see, I changed my entire original posting. I have been soul searching so much. Reflecting on me and whats true for me. In me. Thats why I make changes to my spaces around here. To reflect my growth and change.

To be honest, the growth and changes are really false layers peeling away. I have just begun to fine Myself. For so long I felt that was a silly idea. Impossible. You are who you are going to be at the core. Yet this slow walk I am taking with my Creator, The Most High has me reaching to my truth. My love. My real good life.

I have to share that with you.

HA.. editted my list one mo' gain! I couldn't do it yall. I could only list my alltime favoritest most beloved artists. They bring my soul to her knees, incite poetic chorus, morning hums, afternoon cleansing cries and the happiest laughter and smiles.

ICANTBOXMEIN! And I love that about me... ;-)

As I grow family, I gotta share me with you. Soul Searching, and with my Beloved, my Honey, my Future... aaah, has me so open wide and vulnerable to whats good to me, for me. What truly has me.

Growth, Maturity and Change. The more I experience each, the more I'm learning I cherish and adore all musics, but am a Rock and Soul Queen. I was about Jazz in my beginning love affair w/ music, but the past 7 years Rock has stolen my heart, grabbed my soul and wrapped hisself around my mind. All started with Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Woodstock and Lenny Kravitz. Coldplay and alot of artists from the UK got me so so so so so so so (think Floetry ;-) )....

And this sistah HERE! Cree Summer is a beautiful wonder, I tell you. She's next up on my Wish List.

I share every new discovery, every new truth I'm learning in me because I want folks to see what true freedom is here. My top artists and albums aren't Black, or considered Black music....and my people, who feel they are open wide and liberated hate that the most. Wanna take me off the Black List. LOL. I can't understand that.. but its cool with me.

Here are a few artist and some of their albums I have wore-out over the years...a few have gotten away from me or are out of print...but I had to give the albums there props...

Fela Anikulapo ("he who carries death in his pouch") Kuti
      Zombie

      Charlie Parker
      (“really_ everything!”)

      Billie Holiday
      (“everything”)

      Sarah Vaughn

      Eric Dolphy
      Iron man
      Out To Lunch

      Nina Simone
      (“again_just about everything!”)

      Abbey Lincoln

      Cannonball Adderley
      Black Messiah
      Radio Nights

      John Coltrane (Orisha John Coltrane)
      Blue Train
      Giant steps
      Kulu Se Mama
      Transitions
      Live in Japan
      Love Supreme
      Living Space
      Om
      Interstellar Space
      John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman
      Sun Ship
      …this could go on forever

      Miles Davis
      Kind of Blue
      Orbit
      Live at the Black Hawk
      Jack Johnson
      Bitches Brew
...this could also go on forever

      Bob Marley
      Uprising
      Survival

      Last Poets
      The Last Poets
      This Is Madness
      Delights of the Garden
      Holy Terror

      Mongo Santamaria
      Afro Roots
      Up from The Roots

      Los Munequitos de Matanzas
      Vacunao

      Lazaro Roz
      Olorun
      Songs for Elegua

I hate doing these type of list because it's hard to limit your selections and you are always going to have to leave something out...so I had to break the five artist/album rule a little...also some of these albums may have only a few particular compisitions that make the whole album worth buying...but that's cool

Didn't think it was possible. But I've learned so much about what I like and don't like according to my own personal tastes, and not what could be, might, sounds possibly good. I'll never have ONE favorite, but a particular kinda faves, yeah.

Check em out in the "original" post. LOL.

This was a REALLY tough decision, but I just couldn't narrow it down to 5. I tried, but I couldn't. Lol, anyways, here they are:

      DJ Shadow - Endtroducing...

      Utada Hikaru - Deep River

Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsys

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland

The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium

There are more than that (a LOT more), but I don't want to take up anymore space than I already am. Lol.

for a musician is not easy to put only five on top cause there´s a natural mystic music around over the world:2pac.miles david.jack anthony pastorius.bob marley.i give you 4 cause is not fair.

Imma play this slick, watch dis
Well, we only get 5 picks...AND...since COLTRANE has been said, NINA SIMONE, MILES DAVIS, ERYKAH BADU, JILL SCOTT, GIL SCOTT, LAUREN HILL, and JIMI HENDRIX....imma narrow it down to:

Bill Withers, BB King, The Isley Brothers, Curtis Mayfield, and Al Green
