Thanks for the link. I've been looking for his site since I saw his video on b.e.t. (surprisingly enough).

Yeah...Damian Marley has a vibe about him. My homeboy said it seems like Damian has gotten a little "harder." I never knew much about him before I saw this video so I cannot determine how he was before compared to how he is now. I know the fact that he is calling himself "Jr. Gong" ("Tuff Gong" was Bob Marley's "street name") is sayin' something though.

Yeah, this new joint is hot. I'm actually glad to see Damian Marley come with some crucial roots type sh!t as his first single. I actually got "jamrock" on a reggae culture shock mix cd. Straight fiyah. I wonder what his new album is going to be like....

Greetings rebelafrika, ThaAlchemist, & Moorish Rebel!

Welcome to Jamrock is one of the most powerful and socially
conscious piece of music to come out latley. I love it. The
vibes from it is awesome. As a matter of fact, I think one
song by Guerilla Black has a similar beat, is it Compton, but I
love that song as well. It's something about that beat that
gets my Revolutionary spirit moving :o

I am proud to see Rasta people continue to fight and be the
social conscious warriors they used to be. This is one of the
things about the Rastafarian way of life that brought me to
the movement from since back in the early eighties. That is
where my foundation started as being a revolutionary.

Most Rasta's used to be real serious revolutionaries, who was
willing to fight the oppressor at all costs. They used to make
a stand against the ills of society. They always advocated for
the ghetto youths and poor people in general. They wanted to
shake up and fix this broken down system that so many of our
      people now are comfortable with.

I am proud to see warrior Damien still on the case for the race.
Sizzla was another one that really made a mark in raising the
consciousness of the ghetto youths to make them want
something better in life and also to make them know that
they have a right to a good life without all the suffering
and misery that they are going through lately.

Thanks for the link, I also voted for Damien on BET.

      Much appreciation for this piece.

      Stay Blessed!

Sister Jahness, you couldn't have said it any better.

It's one of those rare albums in which every track is listenable and unskippable. It's beautiful!

I'd also like to congratulate you on your new administrative position here on the Assata Shakur message boards. :congrats:

Did you click on the quicktime videos? If so, you'll have to wait a minute or two, depending on how fast your connection is.

If you clicked on the media player for the website, and then clicked on "video", depending on your connection, it will take a minute.

I hope that helps. Let me know if it doesn't.
