The Cherry Tree

We all have heard the story of George Washington and the cherry tree. Let me refresh your memory. The story begins a little something like this. The Washington family owned a farm with quite a few acres of land. Young George had completed his chores for that evening. he had been chopping firewood because winter was coming on fast. George was headed back to the house axe in hand. He eyes this beautiful little cherry tree near the house. Young George strolls over to the cherry tree and suddenly he has chopped it down.
he turns in the direction of the house and begins walking. His father opens the door and steps out into the the yard and waits on his son to approace him. he says "George what happened to the cherry tree i planted for your mother?" Young George with axe still in hand replies "I CAN NOT TELL A LIE", but as he answers he moves the axe behind his back. (Signs and Symbols for the concious mind) We all know the moral of the story. Let's take a trip back in time, now understand we must do this to learn and become aware of our surroundings. So that that we don't make the same mistakes that our foreparents made, or allow the same atrocious acts to be inflicted upon us as they were inflicted upon our foreparents. I'm making it known that i want to reach the promised land 'Allah" willing. I'm going to get there going out like solider, not like a coward on bended bloody knees. I want to send a shout out,much love and recognition to my parents. Brothers and Sisters and I can't forget the revolutionaries who came befor me, and those waiting to step up and do battle. ( Remember the battle isn't always physical it's mental too.)
Sit back and relax as we begin our journey on the continent Afrika (we know it as Amexem the true and divine name of our foreparents homeland). The motherland is rich in beauty, knowledge, mineral wealth, ancient Pharaohs and Queens,and the home of the 1st man Adam. Live news flash yes it's true. Beyond a reasonable doubt Afrika (Amexem) is the garden of Eden. Our foreparents were a people with values, pride, wisdom, compassion, Love in their hearts for all mankind no matter what race, creed, colour, or complexion. Striving and surviving and living their lives under the five highest principles known to man love, truth, peach,freedom, and justice.
Our foreparents moved about the the continent of Afrika (Amexem) freely and at will, and most importantly without a trace of fear in their hearts. Can you picture and feel the peace and tranquility of our foreparents? Now remember the European has been coming to the motherland for some time now and trading their wares for the gold, silver, and native atrtifacts and kente cloth and other precious minerals freshly grown from Afrika's (Amexem) rich soil.
News flash a special report has just come in.The New World has been found and is ready to be populated but something is missing. There is not enough farmers, carpenters, metal workers, skilled craftsmen, near not enough cheap labour to help get the New World in Order. A plan has been put into motion actually a master plan to bring some of our people (foreparents) to this new world for labour purposes only. I'll say it again Slave labour.
Our foreparents were skilled in all sorts of professions,yet highly skilled in the art of war and the settlers of the new world were well aware of this. So the founding fathers of the new world used decit, deception, lies, trickery,and guns (weapons of war) our foreparents had never seen before and in doing so convinced some of our tribal elders that because we had been taking prisoners of war of our own people during tribal conflicts that was a common practice. The New World traders said "they would buy and trade for as many prisoners as the tribal elders could get their hands on, and they thought they wre among the chosen few but this offer had been bought all tribes that had ever come into contact with the NEW World traders, Mass slave trading began..
The leaders of the New World soon came to the realization that our foreparents spirits and wills coudn't/would't be broken so easy. (All Praise and honour is due to Father God Allah)
We all know how the criminal mind works. An unknown man stepped foward to say" I know of a way to break their spirit and it'll last for hundreds of years".
They began by destroying (chopping down) the flag of our motherland. Now the programming (mental slavery) can begin. A people without a flag aren't considered a people.
The purpose" A people without a country (home) have no birthright and can have no justice" for that group of people .Marcus Mosiah Garvey said it best " A people without a history is like a tree without roots".
Now I'll break down the cherry tree to you like this: The bark of the cherry tree is black for our forefathers, under the bark lies the red blood that flows through our veins and the green leaves are for the native plains where graceful creatures roam, the motherland of bounty we, I feel so proud to call home.
Remember if you chop the tree (flag) off at the root you will kill that tree (nation). I can lead you to the water but i can't make you drink. We need a little bit of water(salvation and knowledge of self). If we take that first bitter sweet drink (pride,wisdom,truth) good things begin to happen.

Note 1: one should not lie reguardless of the situation, one may find themselves in.

This is indeed a beautiful story! I like the insight that you had to the story of the George Washington and the Tree...

It is indeed important to us to read "between" the lines, when we read any of these peoples' stories. They have a story to tell, and if we are foolish enough to not see ourselves in the Storyline, it will be to our own demise or "cut down"!

I enjoyed that read. It flowed. You gave it indeed good insight. Bravo!

I have read that those that call themselves Moorish-Americans relate this same story except they say Amexum is this land and that chopping down the cherry tree references the destruction of the Moors who were the "real" indigenous people, resulting in black people's true nationhood being hidden and a false history of trans-atlantic slavery contrived to cover it up. Can you or anyone else clarify the origin of this story?

The story of George Washinton and the Cherry is nothing but a tale that was told to children. I rewrote the story using some of the Hon. Noble Drew Ali teaching and from own studies of Black History and reading between the lines and just fliped the script and made it a story for my kids to understand that George Washinton was and is just ike the rest of them. The moral of the story is to read between the lines and you will see some of the truth right there in front of you. And i can not forget that i even quoted the Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey in the story also.

Believe me brother man, I know that. My people have a name for Washington that was given in 1779 that translates as Town Destroyer. We call every US president by that name ever since and every one of those devils lives up to it. I was just curious about the whole cherry tree and Amexum thing since I had seen stuff about it the last time I was living in a city and encountered materials put out by a group calling themselves Moorish-Americans.
