I was watching the news when that q? came up about what book would the candidates would have mess.

A biography about Lincoln? Seriously, what kind of response is that. To the average spoon fed person, that was a nice answer. Man that is crap. Lincoln?

I wanted to wait and see if he actually got the nomination. Now that it seems like he will, here's my opinion on the situation.

All throughout the primary season, they've been trying to paint Obama as inexperienced and too soft on the issues. He adjusted by running on a platform of change.

Once it was pretty clear that he would be the nominee, they started trying to paint him as a racist radical by bringing up all the stuff that was said in his church. Lately I've even heard that his mentor was a Black Panther and that there's a video of his wife using the word "whitey". It does make me wonder...he was a member of this church for 20 years...Reverend Wright didn't all of a sudden start preaching his Black liberation theology.

I don't know if any of this is true but I wonder if he knew what he was getting himself into. All of the other candidates' families have been relatively off-limits including McCain's drug addict wife. But for some reason they thought it was okay to attack Obama's wife.

I wonder what his motivation really is for becoming president. But that doesn't change the game. He still wants to be the face of this raggedy ass country, Black man or not.

All through Obama's canidancy for president, I keep having this strange feeling that the road to Afrikan Liberation in America has been handed one more slap in the face. Despite not being able to understand why anyone would want to be put in a position to attempt to clean up president bush's 100yr war and declining economy, I see Obama's potential presidency as the ultimate victory for the "Black Bourgeoisie." The perspective of many Black people could and likely will be more aligned with the Black Bourgeoisie given that a Black president will give many the mixed message, or final validation, that we have something to invest or hope for in this country.

Doesn't a Black president of the likes of Obama represent nearly everything the Black Bourgeosis has stood and struggled for since they have existed in this country? He's wealthy. He's has an ivy league education. His perspective and principles where it comes to Blacks appears suspect. He has confessed loyalties to his white masters and his white roots. He's opening doors for Negro power at heights that they have always dreamed. I would love to see the list and affliations of the wealthy, powerful Negroes who are involved, and contribute, to his campaign.

Obama, like any other politicians, is going to represent the interest of those who have money and power. If he has any type of race loyalty, it will likely be expressed as Bourgie Black loyalty. Any push by president Obama for Black people, or struggling working class/low-income Blacks specifically, can only be expressed generally, and in the language of improving the condition of the "All-Americans" or the "disadvantaged." The system has demonstrated its abilty to almost completly white-wash any semblance of Black loyalty from Black candidates who aspire to positions of power within the US government. Obama's nomination is another victory for the Negroes' assimilationist agenda. I didn't vote. Fuck Obama! And hell yeah, it matters!

The way i see it is I really don't care about whoever the president will be because whoever it will be will do nothing to change my condition nor my family's nor my community so its whatever, you must never count on anybody but yourself but i am going to vote for obama simply just to see what will happen. Do i think obama is a uncle tom most definitely but i also believe that john mccain is a racist plus his ancestors once owned my family in mississippi(according to my grandfather) so its whatever.
