We as Black Women Need to Take Our Safety More Seriously...

We as Black Women Need to Take Our Safety More Seriously...

I say this because in recent years there has been a rise in propaganda against Black Women in all forms of media! This is being done to set up a climate in which wholesale violence will be tolerated and encouraged against us.

When need to become more aware of where we go everyday, who we are around, how we behave and how they behave. What safety measures we have taken at work, school, home, traveling, etc.

I have a few suggestions.

1. Try to be home by 10PM, especially on holidays and weekends.
2. If you are renting get to know your landlord and other tenants if possible.
3. Stop hanging out in night clubs. Since most clubs today are not owned or run by Black People.
4. If you eat out, be careful of where. If you can grow your own food, eat at home.
5. Wear comfortable and beautiful but modest clothing. This is always a good idea no matter where you are on the planet.
6. When you talk to people speak clearly in a soft but confident voice.

These are just a few of my suggestions. Feel free to list more of your own. They may help keep more sistas out of harm's way.

PS: A brother should post some safety tips for brothas as well.
