The Genius of Jesse Jackson!?!?
Jonathan D. Salant
Thu Jul 10, 12:29 AM ET July 10 (Bloomberg) -- The Reverend Jesse Jackson's derogatory comments about Barack Obama could provide a boost for the presumptive Democratic nominee, giving him an opportunity to appeal to voters who have supported Republicans. ADVERTISEMENT Jackson was appearing on Fox News on July 6 when a microphone picked up his remark suggesting that Obama was ``talking down to black people'' in recent speeches at black churches, according to a tape of the comments played on the Fox News Channel. He then said, referring to Obama, ``I want to cut his nuts off,'' according to the Fox News Web site. Jackson, 66, apologized for his remarks, telling CNN yesterday that they were ``crude.'' The comments may turn out to help Obama by emphasizing his call for personal responsibility, a favorite topic of Republicans, said Mark Rozell, a professor of public policy at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. ``It reinforces Obama's effort to present himself as an advocate of responsible personal behavior, a position that Republican candidates like to secure as uniquely their own,'' Rozell said. The Illinois senator, who in August stands to be the first minority candidate to be nominated for president by a major political party, spent Father's Day last month at one of Chicago's largest black churches telling the audience that they should set better examples for their children and shouldn't abandon them. `Any Fool' ``Any fool can have a child. That doesn't make you a father,'' Obama, 46, said at the Apostolic Church of God, which has more than 20,000 members. ``Too many fathers are AWOL, missing from too many lives and too many homes.'' Jackson, who unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988, said he didn't know the microphone was on when he commented on Obama's speeches. ``Anything I said in a hot-mic statement that's interpreted as a distraction, I offer apologies for that,'' Jackson said at a news conference yesterday after his remarks became public. ``I have supported Barack's campaign with passion from the very beginning. I thought the very idea made sense,'' Jackson said. ``We've been there all the way, because I think this campaign is a redemptive moment for America and a great opportunity to redefine America.'' Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said Obama ``will continue to speak out about our responsibilities to ourselves and each other, and he of course accepts Reverend Jackson's apology.''

"Any fool can have a child. That doesn't make you a father,'' - Obama
I'm not Obama supporter but anybody who got a problem with that statement has a much bigger problem

Consider this...
Back in 1999 Jackson was embroiled the fact that he had a child from an affair with his aide at the time and then tried to keep it quiet by paying her off. I'm pretty sure that his wife is not and continues not to be that magnanimous in letting that child into her household as a constant reminder of her marriage and her world as she knew it blowing up in her face.
In other words, Jackson is not involved in that child's life either other than to pay child support. In short, those "fathers" that Obama was supposedly "talking down to" includes Jackson himself. The last nerve he woke up with that morning was surely struck. We should all serve him up a nice hot cup of STFU tea and call it a day.

I think this was all orchestrated. Is Jesse Jackson really THAT dumb? Is he dumb enough to say something like that when he's mic'd up? That dude has done enough interviews to know when a camera is on his ass. Maybe he was getting chills or withdrawals from being out of the white man's limelight for too long.
I saw it as a pathetic attempt to become relevant again.

It gets worse.
By SOPHIA TAREEN, Associated Press Writer 2 hours, 18 minutes ago
CHICAGO - The Rev. Jesse Jackson used the N-word during a break in a TV interview where he criticized presidential candidate Barack Obama, Fox News confirmed Wednesday. ADVERTISEMENT The longtime civil rights leader already came under fire this month for crude off-air comments he made against Obama in what he thought was a private conversation during a taping of a "Fox & Friends" news show. In additional comments from that same conversation, first reported by TVNewser, Jackson is reported to have said Obama was "talking down to black people," and referred to blacks with the N-word when he said Obama was telling them "how to behave." Though a Fox spokesman confirmed the TVNewer's account to The Associated Press, the network declined to release the full transcript of the July 6 show and did not air the comments. Jackson — who is traveling in Spain — apologized in a statement Wednesday for "hurtful words" but didn't offer specifics. "I am deeply saddened and distressed by the pain and sorrow that I have caused as a result of my hurtful words. I apologize again to Senator Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, their children as well as to the American public," Jackson said in a written statement. "There really is no justification for my comments and I hope that the Obama family and the American public will forgive me. I also pray that we, as a nation, can move on to address the real issues that affect the American people." A spokeswoman for Jackson's civil rights organization, Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, said she could not confirm that Jackson used the slur. Jackson has called on the entertainment industry, including rappers, actors and studios, to stop using the N-Word. He also urged the public to boycott purchasing DVD copies of the TV sitcom "Seinfeld" after co-star Michael Richards was taped using the word during a rant at a Los Angeles comedy club in 2006. The Rev. Al Sharpton, who has joined Jackson in opposition of the word, said Wednesday he wanted to hear the comments for himself and declined to discuss Jackson specifically. "I am against the use of the N-word by anyone and I think we must be consistent," he told The Associated Press. "We must not use the word. |

Sis, one brother told me that maybe he didn't know his mic was on. BUT, maybe he knows something else. Maybe Obama is playing a role and Jackson knows it, so, he was expressing his sentiments to the brother next to him.....*shrugs shoulders* |

As far as anyone knows,Do the majority of Black Fathers leave their children to be raised by only the mother? how many of us have been raised without both parents? For Obama to get his ass up in front of Black people while those cameras are rolling and try to condemn the whole collective ,as if NO Black fathers are around to raise their children,as if this is the norm, which it is not,is his attempt to make his personal problem with HIS father abandoning him as a child into an issue for the Black collective.Obama cannot blame/point fingers at the Black collective just because his daddy didn't feel the need to stay with that cave dweller he calls his mother.Jesse is an idiot ,no doubt, and he hasn't been relevant for some time now ,Jesse prolly did know that he was still being taped he KNOWS how Fox news channel is,and what their tactics are,so him apologizing for sayin how he felt no matter if the mic was on or off,is showing just how weak his backbone is.
