I love that one! Never seen it before! That's what they do (the old ladies and young yt alike) not only in elevators but in the streets, while standing in a line or in the subway!
It used to drive me real wild and I more than once asked them if they really think that i'm gonna snatch their damn rotten purse?
They always act like they don't know what I'm talking about & make you seem like a paranoid in public..!
Now I just ignore them or shake my head in disapprobation, it's quite effective, I guess they feel shameful afterwards and become somehow aware how brainwashed they are to consider every black man as a potential threat ..!

I can testify it happens in Spain as well, every 10seconds. I dont always see it but my man always point me this or that girl that has grabbed her purse. he always point his finger and say it loud so she can hear right.
im sure some of them are not even aware of their own prejudices.
