Ignoring people with different opinions is what is leading us to be a "doomed race" Different views of how we can fix things is just what we need to move forward. WE NEED COMMUNICATION not just writing others off that sees things different........think about it, what is the biggest problem with our people?

I saw the other day, an article was titled "Black girls at risk for anorexia..." it caused me to pause. In all of my ___ years on this planet, I have never heard of anorexia being a problem with US unless it was medically induced (ie - cancer or some other illness). I remember a time when we could know by just listening to the nature of a crime that one of US didn't do it...can't do that anymore.

Are we so far removed from our roots, our culture and so intertwined into this amerikkkan culture that we have become one of THEM? Are we suffering from Stockholm syndrome? Do we have amnesia? Who the hell are we?

There are many things that go on in this country that are swept under the rug for more 'sensational' stories. For example, that whole gates, pig and Obama having a damned beer over some bullshit-- that stuff went on for a good two weeks, while that old lady got body slammed in the parking lot of walmart kinda fizzled out after a couple of days (you know my stance on that..I won't bore you with it again-- also, I refuse to watch the news, it leaves me depressed so I really can't give any better analogies at this time). Better yet, why is it that we can see shit like souljaboy with a Lamborghini remote control necklace all over the damned place, but where are the youtube links and articles about a new school for us being opened or a new program to help those of us that do not have it as good as the rest of us? A little tidbit of helpful advice on how we can live our lives better? We can get mad about C-murda getting sentenced to prison yet don't give a damn about a sister/brother that just opened their own business, graduated-- hell ANYTHING positive-- are our brains that far gone that we don't even get upset about the many many MANY occurrences of injustice that we see day in and out, they roll off us like water off a duck's back and then there is always something there to pacify us and the further we sink our brains into this quicksand, the less effort it takes to divert our attention from whatever we SHOULD be concentrating on. Why in the hell did I even bring up "entertainers" in trying to make my point?

I have been infected with the bullshit, thats why.

We grieve over those that paved the way for us, wear their tshirts and quote their words but who in the hell is paving the way for our children? WHY are we leaving that in the hands of our oppressors? Why are some of US becoming oppressors? I don't know if I am being extra paranoid or if this is a sign of the times but I am getting to the point where I cannot even trust MY people-- that stings and hurts like no other pain I have felt before. Where the hell can you turn to if your own have stuck a few knives in your back and have their foot on your neck?

We are living in a time where we can easily report our own news over the internet. Connect with people across the globe with relative ease. Establish things in a quicker fashion than the Panthers and other groups did in the days of yore, they hit the streets- went door to door, gathered in secret hide out spots to make a change-- YET WE ARE NOT DOING IT and there is MINIMAL risk. WHY?

We know the problems so much that we just start accepting the issues and turning it into something "cute". Like "I live in the worse city in the united states, we have about 100 murders a week." or "I don't need to work, I will sell drugs/pimp hos/live off the system..." the list goes on and on. Has the many years of being told this is what we are finally catching up to us and breaking us down?

Is this the calm before the storm? Is this the breaking down of our collective muscle tissue before we build it back up stronger than it was before? Is this a sign that things will never come together the way they are supposed to? Is this the "thinning of the herd"? I have no idea anymore. There are times when I don't even know who the damned enemy is and it boggles my mind so much that I just shut down and deflect ANYTHING from entering my space.

I fear that I am becoming egocentric out of fear of another sister cussing me out and wanting to have a physical altercation because I suggested that she shouldn't leave her children alone in the house while she is out at a club. I fear I am becoming a pessimist after telling a brother "Yo, calling me a 'down ass bitch' is NOT a compliment." and then being told that I need to chill out and understand it IS a compliment (since when?). I fear that I am becoming an introvert because it seems like its no longer 'us' against them-- it feels like 'me' against THE WORLD.

Quite sure I went off course but I got it off my chest for now anyway.

You don't give yourself enough credit.......YOU ARE BEYOND ON POINT, YOU STATED MY POINT THAT I COULDN'T DO WITH OUT PUTTING SOME VIDEO'S ALONG WITH IT.

We are in a very depressing, blind, and WONK WONK state as a whole.
There are many of us out to make things happen for the better, while many others just can care less about anything they can't show of at the club.

Agreed Jalili, it is better to point out flaws in order to correct them to promote efficiency and not stay in the same static position.

That issue you want addressed should be placed in here... the contested zone. The other thread was a hi-jack and off head-topic.

As you said we are here to promote efficiency and productivity in this struggle today. Old ways are always learned from to forge a greater approach.

There is no gain in calling an elder senile (not from you), that is only used in argument and wins no points in debate. Your own words of being efficient should be promoted in all your work that you put down in this struggle to achieve UNITY.

Lets not stay static and go nowhere when real work could take place.
