Administrative Assistant –VOLUNTEER



AFROAMERICA XXI is a coalition of African Descendant organizations
designed to provide solutions for the various issues facing African
Descendant populations in their respective countries and on the international
level.

AAXXI has chapters in thirteen (13) countries in Latin America and now
we open an office in Washington DC. AAXXI works to increase the
visibility of Afro-Latinos, Advocate for their interests, strengthen the
African Descendant human resources and community organizational capacities
and to Form links/partnership between African Descendant organizations.



Ideal opportunity for individuals with daytime availability that are
interested in Afro-Latino’s issues and learning about African
descendant’s experiences in the Americas.

Qualifications:



· Availability (anytime) during (10 am-7pm) hours required

· Strong commitment to working African descendant’s issues

· Fluency or with knowledge in English and Spanish

· Enthusiasm and sense of humor



You will help:

· Organizing conferences and meetings

· Drafting and editing newsletters, papers, articles, reports
and proposals.

· Research and information gathering

· Attending meetings with Congressional staffers.

· Providing general administrative support







This is a good opportunity to learn and work with international
agencies like World Bank, IDB, OAS and PAHO and to improve your Spanish.
