| ALD inna DC!
via: Bro. Banbose Shango Dear Sisters & Brothers and Comrades, The All-African People's Revolutionary Party (GC) invites you to attend African Liberation Day 2008, which will be held on Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th, in Washington, DC. The theme for ALD 2008 is: "The Guinean Revolution: A Center of Struggle Against Slavery & The Slave Trade, Colonialism and Neo-colonialism. Forward to One Unified Socialist Africa!" We will commemorate the 50 anniversary of African Liberation Day. The ALD 2008 Diplomatic Reception will be held on Friday, May 23rd, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., please RSVP The A-APRP (GC) will honor and present awards to Sekou Toure, Mbalia Camara, Kwame Nkrumah, and Ismael Conde, Secretary-General of the PRPAG. Representatives of several progressive and revolutionary Embassies, movements and organizations are invited to attend. We ask that you RSVP your attendance! Email bshango@yahoo.com or call (202) 544-9355, ask for Banbose or Kamau. The ALD 2008 Rally will be held on Saturday, May 24th, at Malcolm X Park (lower level), 15th and W Street NW, Washington, DC, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Further information regarding the program will be forth coming. As African Liberation Day 2008 nears, it becomes increasingly important to see this 50th Anniversary as the turning point, the new step forward, in our continuing struggle for African liberation, unification, socialist transformation, and world peace. African Liberation Day 2008 takes place at a time in history when neo-liberalism and neo-colonialism, after having been on the offensive for the past fifty-three years, are now on the defensive, and loosing ground everywhere. Africa and the African Diaspora lag behind, but must and will step up its resistance. African Liberation Day 2008 is crucial because the enemies of the African democratic revolution, of African unity, and of scientific socialism; those who think that they can now come to confuse, coopt and compromise Pan-Africanism and socialism, and discredit the work, study and struggle of Seku Toure, Mbalia Camara, Kwame Nkrumah, and Kwame Ture, mistakenly believe that they can defeat the masses of African People, 1.5 billion strong, scattered, suffering, and struggling in more than 125 countries in Africa and the African Diaspora. It is these con artists and charlatans however, who will be defeated, and relegated to the dust bin of counter-revolutionary history. For the Masses of African People, the immediate future holds long hard struggle, long hard suffering, and long hard fought victories. We are equal to this task! African Liberation Day 2008 comes as one small, but qualitative event, in the time of these historic and final rounds. See you at ALD 2008 in Washington, DC, on May 23 and 24, 2008. Your presence would be surely missed!
