2008 “Rebuild Africa” Conference: “Tomorrow’s Africa Today”
August, 8-9, 2008 Washington D.C.
The Ausar Auset Society International, headquartered in New York and founded by
Shekhem Ur Shekhem Ra Un Nefer Amen I in 1973, is celebrating its 35th Anniversary this year. Ausar Auset was established to provide a “social vehicle” for the descendants of Africa in the Diaspora to apply African Spiritual Values in their daily lives.
On August 8-9, 2008 as part of the yearlong international celebrations, the Washington, DC Region will host a conference entitled “Rebuild Africa” – Tomorrow’s Africa Today at 100 Peabody St., NW Washington DC 20011. This event will continue the Ausar Auset tradition of giving back to the community and all proceeds will go directly to ACE for distribution to the many Rebuilding activities that both organizations are involved with.
The Rebuild Africa Conference will feature workshops, lectures as well as significant dialogue with and from individuals and organizations engaged in projects designed to Rebuild Africa in areas of health care improvement, disease prevention, employment creation, environmental restoration, water purification, food production, spiritual and cultural preservation, educational opportunity expansion, and sustainable development.
Ra Un Nefer Amen I, King of Ausar Auset International and Hon D.D., will be one of our dynamic speakers.

"Cowardice asks the question: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it political? Vanity asks the question: is it popular? But conscience asks the question: is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor political, nor popular - but one must take it simply because it is right."
