For information on the Murder of our Beloved Brother, Father, Husband, Son, Community Leader and Mentor, Yale Miller!

On Saturday, February 24, 2007, approximately 5:15 p.m. on Wabash & Marquette (South of West Grand Boulevard and West of Rosa Parks by McMichael Middle School) in Detroit, fatal shots were fired at a blue 1993 Jeep driven by Yale Miller by unknown person/persons claiming his life at a young age of 35.

Sole breadwinner for his family, Yale Miller was a loving father of four (ages 2, 5, 7 and 9), a loving husband of Joya Porties-Miller and a dedicated community leader, survived by his mother Edna White, mentor Bennie White-Ethiopia, brother Dave Miller and father Woody Miller. Yale Miller worked as a prevention specialist based in Catholic Social Services serving various at-risk communities and mentoring countless youth on and off the job.
Yale Miller was a true role model to his children and all the youth he served over the years, including as an active parent and father in his children’s school, Nsoroma Institute.

I am asking for monetary donations for the family of our fallen community leader, Baba Yale Njoma Miller. He is survived by his Queen Sister Joya Porties-Miller and their four children.

the investigation ... We have been unable to get any answers. It is called by the
Detroit City Council on the 13th floor at 10:30 am (City -County Building).

Does anyone know what the status of this case is currently? I didn't know brother Miller personally but I'm no stranger to positive energy, in that sense I don't have to know him to know he was a great man. His loss was everyone's loss. I attended service in his name at the Artist Village and I was able to shot a few pics. If you would like to see them they are in my album.
