DETROITER DERRICK COLEMAN TO OPEN NIKE ATHLETIC STORE IN THE DETROIT NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE HE GREW UP

SNYX Sneaker Studio grand opening set for Saturday, October 27 from 10:00
a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

DETROIT, MI - - Former NBA Star Derrick Coleman is a diehard supporter of
Detroit through and through, so much so that he is opening the SNYX Sneaker
Studio in the very neighborhood in which he grew up.
SNYX Sneaker Studio will carry all Nike merchandise including warm ups and
top-of-the-line athletic sneakers. Shoes range in price from $75.00 to $280.00.
This store will be exclusive to Michigan. The concept was originated by Derrick’s
associates who own similar stores in Compton, CA and Chicago, IL.
The grand opening is set for Saturday, October 27, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00
p.m. Special invited guests include Detroit Pistons Chauncy Billups, Rip
Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace.

In addition to the SNYX Sneaker Studio, Derrick is developing a strip mall which
will include a Hungry Howies, (the first in the City of Detroit,) a car wash, barber
shop, laundromat, and a bill paying center. Once the development is completed,
approximately twenty jobs will be created. It is Coleman’s desire to employ
neighborhood residents and students.

SNYX Sneaker Studio is located in Detroit at 8961 Linwood Avenue between
Clairmount and Taylor. Store hours will be Monday thru Thursday, 10:00 a.m.
until 7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday’s
