ACTRESS TO RE-CREATE SHOW ON CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST

The BROWARD VOTING RIGHTS COALITION will present a one-woman multimedia production on the life of FANNIE LOU HAMER on
Saturday at Mount Hermon African Methodist Episcopal Church.
ACTRESS M'ZURI will re-create her original off-Broadway show on the life of HAMER, whose civil rights work helped lead to the signing of
the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The free show at Mount Hermon, 401 NW Seventh Terrace, begins at 2 p.m. and will be followed by workshops on restoring voting rights to
former felons, voter registration and voting machines.
The BROWARD VOTING RIGHTS COALITION is an umbrella group for organizations working on a range of voter education issues.
