Uhuru Movement Book Tour Addresses Africans in US-Created Crisis

A tireless organizer, compelling speaker and revolutionary theoretician, OMALI YESH1TELA is recognized as one of the few leaders giving a cohesive analysis of the crisis confronting African people worldwide. The new book, OMALI YESH1TELA SPEAKS, shares 28 of the leader’s most powerful speeches, articles and interviews from the past fifteen years. YESH1TELA argues that poverty and the associated symptoms imposed on Africa and the African diaspora will only end when African people win genuine political power to control their own resources. YESH1TELA also strikes the heart of the current U.S. political and economic crisis with sharp commentary on recent world events, from the attacks of September 11, 2001, to the current war on Iraq.

September 25th, 2005 kicked off OMALI YESH1TELA'S international book tour of college campuses, bookstores and community events. He recently gave presentations at San Francisco and San Diego State Universities, was keynote speaker at the Barrio Bookfest in Oxnard, California, and just presented at an African conference in Berlin, Germany.
