| C.a.d.r.e.s. Chain Of Command
For those who have been looking for an infrastructure, I offer this one. I wrote this structure for a program that did not take root for many reasons not relevant here.... If you can use this, feel free.. if you have any questions, send me an email... __________________________________________________ ___________ Community Action Detail and Revolutionary Efforts and Support A clear and defined chain of command in any organization is paramount. rank should not be given.. in fact, it should be the most difficult achievement otherwise, infiltrators, hypocrites, and those with ill-intent will infect the ranks....... This is my suggestion only.. every movement should have their own by-laws... i will "declassify" a set of by-laws and make them available later today.. it may or may not be what you're asking, but it is another component of the CoC....

Dear Brother: What you actually have is a General Staff of sorts. General's are appropriate on the Strategic Level, but not on the Tactical Level. Moreover, Chain of Command is wholly dependent on the type of Military Organization that is put together. In terms of guerrilla warfare, you want small teams that can move quickly, aviod detection, and strike decisively. Eight(8)-fourteen(14) men. |

If you are going to be military, you need a rank structure. Since you appear to be Muslim I will try to put it in that context: GENERAL OFFICERS: O-11 General of the FOI O-10 General O-9 Lieutenant General O-8 Major General O-7 Brigadier General SENIOR OFFICERS: O-6 Colonel O-5 Lieutenant Colonel O-4 Major JUNIOR OFFICERS: O-3 (upper half) Supreme Captain O-3 (lower half) Captain O-2 (upper half) Supreme Lieutenant O-2 (lower half) First Lieutenant O-1 Second Lieutenant O-O Cadet WARRANT OFFICERS: W-4 Staff Warrant Officer W-3 Chief Warrant Officer W-2 Senior Warrant Officer W-1 Warrant Officer SENIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS: E-9 Supreme Sergeant Major of the FOI E-9 Supreme Sergeant Major,(upper half) E-9 Chief Master Sergeant,(lower half) E-8 Supreme Sergeant, (upper half) E-8 Master Sergeant, (lower half) E-7 Chief Sergeant JUNIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS: E-6 Staff Sergeant E-5 Sergeant E-4 Corporal ENLISTED MEN: E-3 Lance Corporal E-2 Private First Class E-1 Private (Recruit) FOI HEADQUARTERS: Commandant of the FOI: General Vice Commandant of the FOI: General COMMANDANT'S PERSONAL STAFF: Supreme Sergeant Major of the FOI, (Senior Enlisted Advisor) Counsel to the Commandant: Civilian Legislative Assistant to the Commandant: Civilian Comptroller to the Commandant: Civilian Staff Minister: Major General Inspector General: Lieutenant General Staff Judge Advocate: Lieutenant General Secretary to the FOI Staff, (Adjutant General): Major General COORDINATING STAFF: G-1, (Administration): Deputy Commandant: Major General G- 2, (Intelligence): D/C: Major General G- 3, (Training & Operations): D/C: Lieutenant General G-4, (Logistics): D/C: Lieutenant General G-5, (Special Affairs): D/C: Major General G-6, (Communications): D/C: Major General G-7, (Information Operations): D/C: Major General G-8, (Programs): D/C: Major General G-9, (Liaison Affairs): D/C: Major General SPECIAL STAFF: Chief Surgeon: Lieutenant General Chief Engineer: Lieutenant General Assistant Commandant of Security: Lieutenant General Assistant Commandant of Aviation: Lieutenant General Assistant Commandant for Bases & Installations (others as need requires) FOI HEADQUARTERS BATTALION: Commander: Supreme Captain Executive Officer: Supreme Liuetenant Senior Enlisted Advisor: Supreme Sergeant Major S-1 (Adjutant): 2d Lieutenant S-2 (Intelligence): Master Sergeant S-3 (Trng & Operations): 1st Lieutenant S-4 (Logistics): Staff Warrant Officer S-5 (Special Affairs): Staff Warrant Officer S-6 (communications): 1st Lieutenant Company A: H&S Platoon 1st Platoon, (Silent Drill Team) 2nd Platoon, (Honor Guard) Company B: H&S Platoon 1st Platoon, (Ceremonial Guard) 2nd Platoon, (Same) Company C: H&S Platoon 1st Platoon, (Color Guard) 2nd Platoon, (Special Guard) FOI Band: Band Leader: Captain FOI COMMANDS: Recruitment & Training Command: Major General Reserve Command: Lieutenant General Combat Development Command: Lieutenant General Special Operations Command: Major General Logistics Command: Lieutenant General Systems Command: Lieutenant General Aviation Command: Lieutenant General Security Force Command: Major General FOI OPERATING FORCES: x3 FOI Expeditionary Force Commands: x3 Lieutenant Generals, commanding. (These could be considered as "Tactical Generals.") x1 FOI Division, (Reserve): Major General x9 Regiments: Colonel, commanding x3 Regiments, (Reserve): Colonel, commanding Operational Generals are essentially corps level commanders. What you might call an Expeditionary Force Commander, or a Field Force Commander. You could actually take what you have and incorporate it into the above structure. The P/T training would fall under Recruitment & Training Command, (Basic Training). Other training is done at the unit level, e.g., company or within the command. An Administrative General would be an"Adjutant General." He is basically a "staff secretary" to the commandant and handles all administrative work for the commandant's office routed up from the G-1. A "tactical general' would also be any general officer commanding a tactical unit, e.g., major generals in the USMC command "expeditionary brigades." They are tactical commanders/generals. But colonels normally command regimental and brigade level commands. The Expeditionary Force should be organized as an Air Wing, Division & Force Service-Support Unit. 1st FOI EXPEDITIONARY FORCE: Hqs. i like the structure that was just posted.. the one i wrote was customized for the program that was to be instituted. and i only offer it as a baseline for anyone wanting to build on it. the detailed one you posted is nice and is a great beginning for the same reasons as mine.

Every nation has to have a defence establishment. Your structure would be appropriate to a nation with limited manpower, around 100,000. The one I posted is geared more toward 350,000. It all depends on need and resources, material & human.
