how do the rep points work?? why I got so many?? and wassup with the green thingy below? I dunno if too many stop to put their mousses over it and read what it says about the member...but its funny (it says Im on a distinguised road... lol..and Okulaja is just too nice!)

I followed this link yet it did not give me the info i was searching for.

I created a thread and noticed someone gave "reputation". There were no comments attached and just showed a black "thingy" next to it. What does that mean?

The Rep points are given by members directly when they click on this: . They either vote up or down on your post, your tone, etc...

The green bar below that is an indicator of how important people consider your posts. That is, if people generally check a post just because it was you that posted it, regardless of whether they like you or not. Rep points and the green "popularity bar" can cancel each other out though.

I see how my rep points increase without me gettin any vote on any thread... whats that?
