Major Upgrade Tomorrow!!!

At or about 2pm Sunday est. we may experience some downtime, all the tech heads in metro ATL will gather at my house, for this surgery on the forum.
We will upgrade the forum from 3.03 to 3.07 to close some security holes.

We will also add a intergrated text chat to the forum, that will allow members to see who is in chat while still on the forum. we will also be experimenting with some new modules, like photo gallery, intergrated news, a links module among others, we expect this all to take no more than 5 hrs and we apologize for any down time you may experience... Ona Move!!!

Please keep this site in your favorites www.assatashakur.net in about two weeks this will be our mirror site, in the event we are ever down for more than 5 minutes go there, in the event of a hack attack till we get www.assatashakur.org back up ...

Beloved, may I suggest something while you are performing surgery?

What about adding music to Assata Shakur home page, when people open up the site?

If you do, and decide to poll us, my suggestion would be Hon. Bob Marley song. Get Up Stand Up for Your Rights, Don't give up the fight. My suggestion.

music is cool no doubt. but keep in mind the vast majority of people do not have access to DSL (i think last year less than 30% of all users had DSL) so music can slow things down quite a bit. if music is added it would most certainly should be player/jukebox style, not an auto or embedded module. - my two cents.

I agree for the same reasons. I personally hate when some one does that. It can lock my pc up for a min if I am doing a rack of stuff at the same time.
As Brother said, IF you do it, make it a jukebox, not automatic.

For your patience with the downtime, we updated from 3.03 to 3.07 we had some minor issues with the portal page which is now resolved, we will delay uploading the vb chat solution and the other modules until we finish tweaking the upgrade, one issue still remains unresolved and that is the archive function which we will have resolved shortly.. Ona Move!!
