Anything we take inside our temples must be in moderation. I don't smoke, and I don't like what it does to people, how they be when they're high....its too much for me.

But do you, just be careful and watchful when collecting the weed to smoke and don't over do it. Peace!

1st thing is for me i've noticed that mj opens your mind ...so be carful what you open your mind to, what you read, conversation or what you listen to..i can't listen to anything but DPZ, The Roots, Talib, Marley Revolutionary music, cuz sometimes i feel like i'm living through it. so when somebody changes it to 50cent or some bullshit i flip out mentally or sometimes outwadly. i've learned to only do that with free minded people, or by yourself or not to at all. another thing for me is that i get a telepathic connection with people, i can feel their thoughts and emotions. sometimes its good if they on your level. i'm building and learning how to get on that level on my own. do the same things you do when your straight and learn to be the same when high, thats when you master your high, dont let it change you..when high learn to overstand the situation..figure out how to do that shit when you straight and be always high w/o the drug

This is so true, which I also teach my children. You are opening up doors into the divine realm, so be carefuly of what you let in. That they are given the gift and opportunity to access places most people are still shut out from and give thanx for that opportunity and don't commit sacrelige upon it.

For Rastas, it is a sacrament, something to be treated holy. Unfortunately there are many of our adherents that treat it common place and are not discriminate with its use. And its those "users" that give Rastafari a bad name for treating such a divine herb as holy!!

Well obviously if u look around none of this is true...it is obvious that ppl are dropping dead from cancer and copd due to cigaretts. I have yet to meet a marijuana smoker to die from its use...if so this is a very hidden epidemic cause A LOT of people smoke...

It is not a matter of whether or not you will die. Because, you will die whether you smoke or not. It is a matter of fitness. Can you fight with bad lungs do you know that God will only enter a clean body. If you pollute your own spiritual house what happens to your spirit. Don't rationalize getting high if you want to get high and don't care about your physical and spiritual well being then get high. It is not good for you. Do your research people do get disease form inhaling any kind of smoke the thing is you don't smoke as much marijuana as you would tobacco. If you still don't believe me try this experiment. Smoke a joint every 5 minutes everyday for 25 years. You will experience the same diseases that a cigarette smoker will.

That's not true

First of all, many indigenous cultures have been using herb in ceremonies since the beginning of time, especially when it comes to spiritual elevation. Don't believe me? do some research on shamantic practices. Plus, I know rastafarians who are in good shape and are excellent at soccer (a very popular sport in Jamaica), these people are more fit to fight than a whole bunch of non-weed smokers I know. Moderation is the key to anything, over indulging in anything is bad for you.

All things in moderation. I used to smoke a half an ounce and I’d have to get more after five days. As I am getting older, I'm getting over it. I now have gone months w/o any. Nevertheless, I do enjoy it and will smoke when and if I feel to do so. I think that anything you cannot stop doing, is alone dangerous to your overall well-being. I do not think it’s as bad as sources say it is. If you use it often, you can only develop a psychological dependence. This means you will be irritable, and you may have trouble seeping. Its nothing like tobacco withdrawal, which can make you feel sick and develop headaches. I know because I have been through both types.
I used to believe that if I quite I would loose my creativity. I truly believed I would not be able to write poetry, and I would not be able to come up with ideas for my sewing, or jewelry making. Now I see that I was wrong. Bob Marley never died from smoking herb. I know one brother who smoked a lot and just so happened to developed brain cancer. He was just 24 years old. Everyone said it was the herb, who knows. I doubt it. Dr. Afrika whom I appreciate very much does shun its use unless eaten raw. I am not sure how he feels about it in form of tea, which just so happens to be very helpful in treating asthma.. There are no incidences in American history where a person was found to have been convicted of a violent act under the influence of marijuana alone. Only marijuana combined with out substances like alcohol and or cocaine. Therefore, most of the dangers are specific to the individual that chooses to use it. I do not know much about marijuana second hand smoke, but im sure that tobacco smoke is harmful to the smoker and anyone within inhaling difference.
When researches first identified the alcohol-rape crisis, their findings supported that seventy percent of alleged rapes occurred when the alleged rapist and or victim consumed alcohol. Now it is up to seventy five percent. It seems that these two things (cigs and alcohol) are far more dangerous then marijuana has every been. Yes, I think it should be legal. However, with age restrictions and for at home recreational use. I do not think we should be driving around high, just as I do not believe people should drive drunk. By the way, I work out and im big on cardio, mj never affected that. But I suppose everyone is different.

Smoking in any way is harmful, be it marijuana or something else as there are a lot of problems associated with smoking. Best luck to all those who want to get over it.
