I know we've all heard debates regarding marijuana. Do you think it is as harmful as sources say? Do you think it should be legalized? Is it any worse than alcohol or tabacco? Any views are appreciated.

i still smoke but not NEARLY much as I used to...but with anything b carefully...they spray it sumtimes wit liquid PCP or sprinkle cocaine in it....at one point I was real lazy when blazen 4 or 5 blunts was an everyday thing back to back smoken...U not in ya right mind with it

i think if Phenolbarbitol "the drug my mom was given 3 times a day for 7 years" Morfien, Tylonal, Advile, Alcohol, etc. are legal
then why not Marijauna
i mean it's not like if they make legal they gotta everybody smooke it
smoking Marijauna is a choice only the beholder can make
everbody has their reason for smoking
i witnessed an elder with arth-writis
rub marijauna oil on and the pain was gone instantly

I been smoking longer than a lot of y'all been born. I am now attempting to stop - AGAIN. It is an addiction and many times I bought the weed first and worried about food after I got the munchies. I believe I have smoked up a house and a couple of cars.
Out here, we got the best bud. It costs $60-$70 for a quarter of an ounce and that lasts me about three days. And I have not had a job since 1979. so I am a weed-hustling mutha'
No doubt, the herb was a part of my education. It opened my eyes and my mind. For many years it was my ally. It enabled me to see and study our situation without sadness or hopelessness.
But what goes up...Must come down. And for every moment of elation, there has been a corresponding moment of depression. Many friends and lovers have told me I am a different person when I am high. And that person is not really a nice guy. He is a smart-ass, smart-mouth and it is hard to tell when he is serious or just poking fun at people.
There are also physical problems. Shortness of breath and sore neck muscles and munchies have made me eat myself sick on a couple of occassions.

I have not smoked for 20-some days now. But I still want it everyday. And my mind and body keep coming up with reasons/excuses to smoke again. Do not despair for me because I pour libations dailly and ask the ancestors for strength and wisdom and self-control. Thus far it is working. I confess this here so you will all know and think about me sometimes. Send me some mental energy. Pray for me. And for yourselves if you still need something outside of yourself to feel ANYTHING.

I don't have any moral or medical issues with weed...only employment issues. As I indicated in the thread entitled "weed and liquor flaws"...I don't smoke weed anymore simply because I am tired of all the weird @ss stuff you gotta do to clense your urine when it's time for the piss test. Thats "my" view.

i dont believe in criminalizing plantlife in natural form, but mj can be dangerous. i know of at least one rasta that developed cancer from smoking. he had never had a cigarette in his life. died in his thirties, left a daughter in college, a wife etc.

restraint is key. - oh, its a holy sacrement, so you cant just sit down and smoke it like you eat a candybar or it will eat you up eventually. always give a little back to the earth and never be greedy. u jack up the energy. more later. gotta bounce.

I think its about use: why are you using mj, for pleasure? for spiritual enlightenment? for running away from your problems?

Anything is an aid to the human situation and any mind altering substance will only aid your mental/emotional/spiritual in either a positive or negative way.

-My view is only use it for a positive way, like have one with friends at a party, or if your gonna to seek the ancestors..etc. Not for forgetting the world, or purposefully losing control without meaning, same goes for cigerettes (which i think aren't nessacary at all) and alcohol (which is fun at parties - Jesus did turn water in wine at the wedding! ).

If a person chooses to use marijuana, use it with caution. Smoking 24/7 is not good no matter what you smoke. Yes, it is a herb, but the potentcy has different affect on different people. The potency can rise when mixed with alcohol and other drugs. If you are on medication, check to see if it might alter your behavior in a negative way.

The more you smoke the more your body craves for it. When used to help in spiritual studies or enlightenment it is a good eye opener, it really is the wisdom weed. Keep in mind it cannot or should not be abused. It can be as dangerous as cocaine to someone that is not use to smoking it.

It should not be played with. Learn what it can do to your body. Take the time to study the affects it might have on your heart, breathing, mind etc. And always be careful. If you can afford to, never smoke from people you don't know.

If at all possible don't smoke it if it is already rolled. You never know what might be in it. At least you might have a better chance seeing it rolled in front of you. Nowadays, weed is mixed with all type of other drugs, for a quicker and longer high.

Everyones body has a different tolerance for different herbs. This is one of those herbs which is great when used in the proper way( holy sacrament, meditation) etc. Do not disrespect the herb, it has spiritual and healing powers.

I USED to smoke, back in the day. I got burnt out on it. I havent smoked for like 9 years now. I DID hit a joint back in 2003, I got so paranoid, I had to make myself go to sleep, LOL. Moderation would be the key to "reefah" use, IMO. They won't legalize it though, that would be one less thing to lock us up for.

I used to smoke all the time along with everything else I did. I am not sure about mj I am on a spiritual journey and being alchoholic and realizing that i can't be what I am called to be I cannot drink. However lately I have been drinking palm wine as that doesn't seem to affect me. I cannot smoke weed because I need a job and you always have to test for drug use. I do however have a question directed @ Iyawo Olokun is it against Ifa to smoke weed?
