The New Afrikan Village Campus and Retreat Center is a unique facility serving as a prototype for a Sustainable Community and an advocate for true social and environmental justice on local, national and global levels.
Located just an hour outside of Jackson, Mississippi on a 5-acre site in Hermanville, the Campus and Retreat Center can accommodate up to 17 people in a family-friendly learning and retreat environment for Elders, Adults and children alike.
The New Afrikan Village Campus and Retreat Center seeks to inform, inspire and empower all visitors/students to become Afrikan-Centered conservationists, practicing more eco-friendly civic responsibilities, through research, study and instruction in indigenous sciences and through the preservation of ancestral and cultural knowledge.
While much of the training that will be offered has been occurring on a regular basis, The New Afrikan Campus and Retreat Center will consolidate these activities in one unified location with full amenities and access to resources.
The New Afrikan Village Campus and Retreat Center will feature a variety of components in order to demonstrate collective work and responsibility through self-respect and self-discipline. Workshops will be arranged for a 1-day, 2-day or week-end schedule led by a cadre of trained experts in their respective fields.
Rates begin at $100.00 per person for registration, which includes overnight accommodations and all training fees. A $25.00 deposit is required to confirm a training reservation. Group and Family rates are available upon request. Day-rates for training-only options are also available on a limited basis.
