===============
April Griffin's story is one of the many injustices that good people, citizens who are not guilty of anything but standing on the principles of what they know to be right, endure in this so called justice system. Generally they have no prior record with authorities, they are known as good citizens. Why is this allowed to continue to happen, over and over again? Historically, this is what Black people in particular face in this country on a daily basis, especially when they are poor. We must raise our voices, demand justice and stay the course until it is done.
To date, April is still in jail, facing a 12 year sentence for trying to protect her child from a violent father who threatened to SEND the child out of the country.
April will appear in court In Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 5, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.
PLEASE VISIT: FREE APRIL GRIFFIN for the complete chain of events.

"We must continue to move forward and do everything we can to outlaw legal lynching in America. We must continue to stand together in unity and to demand a moratorium on all executions. You must stay strong. You must continue to hold your heads up, and to be there. We will prevail. Keep marching Black people. They are killing me tonight. They are murdering me tonight." -- Excerpts of Last Words of Bro. Shaka Sankofa, an innocent man executed by the state of Texas, 6/22/00. www.myspace.com/nattyreb7

GOD willing, this is one of those cases that should stand out as a messsage of patience through persevience. My cousin is going through a CPS case, and is getting the business. The worker is always pressing "adoption" paper work in my face, but the case isn't even done yet.
Why the court made her give her address up is completely arrogant on the judges behalf, and enfantile and the court appointed attorney. They could have met at the a Crisis House, or at the Local Child Protection agency, because if she has been locked up for 9 months, CPS is involved. After 15 months of Parent/child seperation, CPS will put children up for adoption.
