fort worth, texas: child abuse prevention poetry reading

fort worth, texas: child abuse prevention poetry reading

Dear organizations:

I am planning an exciting event for April 12th called Crying in Colors
It's a reading that brings about awareness for Teen Mothers who used drugs during their pregnancy or became pregnant due to drug use. I'll offer statistics on teen pregnancy, drug use, dropout rates, crime correlation and also info on agencies that assist young mothers with substance abuse issues, literacy, GED, Housing, and other prevention opportunities.

Wednseday April 9th
7:30PM- 9PM
1209 S. Cooper Street
At Coopers Coffee
Hosted By Michael Guinn
(817) 937-8301

jordanmichaelg@yahoo.com

I'd like to invite schools, teens, poets, parents, and organizations to come out that night to witness an evening of sharing and reflection.
it will be a therapuetic outpouring that initiates healing through understanding and acceptance.

Local and national media will be used to advertise along with emails and flyers. This is in conjunction with a month long series of activities planned.

If you know of any organizations, performers, teens, or other contacts please let them know that they can contact me.

It is my hope that we can build this venue to be one that uses the art of poetry to not only elevate the art form but to also boost awareness for all social issues.

Also.. here is one other reading scheduled for April 9th.

Crying In Colors: Let The healing Begin
A Special Sunday Night Reading
