silver house theatre presents "before it hits home"

SILVER HOUSE THEATRE PRESENTS:

BEFORE IT HITS HOME
By Cheryl West

Before It Hits Home exposes the skeletons in the closet of Wendal Bailey, musician and prodigal son of an upstanding African American family, illustrating how the private choices he made publicly affect the people he loves…when he test both his and that of his families faith when he discovers he’s been infected with AIDS.

Before it Hits Home offers an in-depth look at a real family and its genuine reactions to stereotypes and misconceptions of AIDS and alternative lifestyles. The production is parallel to the actual reactions of the black community and how it lags behind with regard to awareness, acceptance and defenses against the disease.

Powerfully directed by Reginald Edmund, this provocative piece of theatre will enlighten and move you.

Some people take themselves WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, when in actuality, no one else is really taking them as seriously as they think.
