The Millions More Movement(MMM) Prepares to Re- Launch Major Health Series with
"How To Eat To Live" Seminar
HOUSTON---In 2006, the city of Houston lost the title of being the fattest city in America but is still ranked in the Top 5. We witnessed several young student-athletes faint and lose their lives. Before our eyes, obesity is overpowering our children who now spend more time in front of the television and in lines at nearby fast food chains. What impact is hormone-injected meat having? What foods are acidic vs those that alkalize the body? Can natural remedies control and eliminate ailing conditions? How does one shop for the best foods? Why are people dieting and not losing weight?
Over the next several months, these questions and many more will be addressed by the Millions More Movement(MMM) Ministry of Health as they prepare for the Official Re-Launch of the "How 2 Series". The "How 2 Series" will be monthly how-to interactive seminars that will cover a range of critical health issues with the purpose of teaching Houston citizens tips on how to get the best out of life by improving the quality of their health.
An estimated 300,000 Americans die of obesity-related causes each year, and the cost of obesity and inactivity account for nearly 10 percent of all health care expenses. Direct medical costs of obesity alone top $100 billion annually, and the price tag keeps skyrocketing. Good health requires both preventive measures and curative programs. Central to preventive measures is healthy food and healthy eating.
The Ministry of Health's How To Eat To Live" is Saturday, August 25th at the SHAPE Community Center Harambee Building. The free seminar will include a presentation by the MMM Health advisers, success stories from patients who have improved their lives by following the MMM suggested diet plan, a community Q/A session, the distribution of valuable health info and much more.
