Harvest for the World
Harvest for the World
And the Lord God did tell us that we suffer or are destroyed, for the lack of knowledge… "Truth and morning become light with time." – Ethiopian Proverb When I started out writing this message, one particular chapter from a book written by Joel Freeman and Don Griffin called “Return to Glory/The Powerful Stirring of the Black Race.” Chapter 9 In a minute I’m going to give you an overview of what I got out of that chapter because I found that the information that was given is too valuable to just hold on to…and by gleaning through my notes in this overview you might be incited into going out to one of the bookstores or Giant Eagle to purchase the book…or, you can order either the book, or the video. I pray that you do because this is something I believe once you read or view it that you’re going to want your kids to check it out…and then who knows…and I pray that it never comes to this, but it may be the one thing that works to save their lives. One of the greatest factors of our “ignorance” is the fact that we do not know who we were, and that lack feeds who we are and who we shall…or shall not become. We are in the Bible…in fact we are all over the Bible…we were on both sides of the Jordan…the Red Sea…we were Africa, Egypt…Ethiopia…we were up and down the Tigris and the Euphrates…we were everywhere. Yet who of you really knows who or where? Who of you knows enough to pass it on to the next generation? Who…really knows? God knows. I don’t care what it takes…this is God’s burden for my life…this is my passion. Jesus had a passion…that passion was highlighted by His journey to the cross and the grave…and ultimately the resurrection. Abraham, Moses…Jacob…Nehemiah…the list goes on and on throughout the message of the Bible…throughout the history of our people…all of these men had this yearning…this burning inside their souls to see their people set free from the bondage of slavery. None of these men knew how they would be able to accomplish their God-given assignments they only knew that what had to be done…had to be done. Like them, I know where my passion will lead me, I don’t know what may be my ultimate destiny, but God has given me this burden...to deliver the word of knowledge to our people. This word of knowledge covers a lot of territory and is going to take some time to do, but God be my witness I will pour out this burden of mine into this message so that you will have a brand new light in the life of us…and then who we truly are in Christ Jesus. So I thank both Don and Joel because it was through the information that they provided that brought me to this place in God…and I especially thank Joel because had it not been for my experiencing the fire of his Passion to serve the will of God, this would never be…I thank you both, in the name of Jesus. A Look Into the Mirror “Here is my mirror/won’t you look in my mirror?” (Larry Graham) It is especially important that we can all piece our past back together. It is especially important that we learn who we really are in the fabric of God’s great will. To posses the true knowledge of us is most vital. We African men stolen to America instantly became the primary target of European and American aggression and fear. That’s right, I did say fear. We just happen to be descendant from a long line of great, great men…great men amongst a people unsurpassed by any other people in the history of the world. Albeit our present condition in this earth does not reflect our past greatness, A close investigation of our past would more than reveal the truth to us all that we were once a great people…we did forfeit that greatness due to our obstinence and our arrogance…but we were a great, great people. We have all been the victims of an elaborate system of checks and balances designed to hold us in check at all times. When we read about the violence and all of the various forms of Black on Black crime…the poisoning of our community…when we read about teen pregnancies and fatherless families…a welfare system that is set up to break up the Black family by not allowing the Black man to legally be a part of his family…and then we look into our prison system to find that at least 50% of this nation’s prison population is Black, while only 12% of the nation’s total population is Black…you have to stop and begin to ask the hard question…what’s goin’ on? When we begin to realize these truths I believe that it’s only that natural next step is to begin to look for some answers. There is a work that must be done in order to right the ship…when we understand that there can never be true Black independence as long as the machinery of our oppression is still in place. In other words, as long as the drugs, guns violence and prostitution…high unemployment…poor educational standards and all of the other working parts of the machinery of our oppression remain in place and in working order we will always be right where we are. Not only were we a great people, we were, and for the most part still are a most spiritual people. And so I feel that it is only natural that we turn to the Word of God and His books of prophecy when we start out on this journey home. Read the prophetic word out of the Book of Isaiah…Chapter 18: 4-6: This is what the LORD says to me: "I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest." For, before the harvest, when the blossom is gone and the flower becomes a ripening grape, he will cut off the shoots with pruning knives, and cut down and take away the spreading branches. They will all be left to the mountain birds of prey and to the wild animals; the birds will feed on them all summer, the wild animals all winter. I had to add verses 4 & 5 because I wanted the reader to be very clear about who the Lord is referring to. Because of our sin against the Lord, and because He will not interfere with our right to choose which goes against His will we have literally tied His hands and are keeping Him from truly working in our lives. And so He sits quietly in our lives and allows us to do as we want to do…live as we want to live….to suffer the consequences of our actions…yet always standing at the door waiting for our knock…waiting for us to call on His Name…always waiting for us to humble ourselves and pray, and to seek His Face and turn from our wicked ways so that He can forgive us of our sins…and heal the land. The birds of prey in v. 7 represent satan, and it tells us that just before the harvest that satan is going to really go to work on destroying us…in every way possible…and the beasts of the earth represent men…the word wintering here means to bring reproach on a person or people, or to discredit or disgrace on the same. He is the main instigator of this deception and oppression of our people. And I would like to make a statement right here. Just the other day, while at work, I was talking to a younger Black man concerning these things, and I gave him an analogy with a set of keys. The keys, I said, are representative of the machinery of our oppression. Each one of the keys on that ring opened a door to one sin, oppression or another. I then threw the keys on the floor and said that these keys mean nothing to us if we never pick them up to start opening doors, but if we pick them up to open doors, we are going to find exactly what we are looking for…in bunches. And so satan threw some keys at our feet, no one twisted our arms to pick them up, that, was our decision…and here we are! The wild animals are feeding on us all winter long. We opened the doors to our oppression and only we can close them, by the grace of God. While it is true that slavery has been with us for thousands of years, and we have been that group of people who have been the brunt of that particular experience, as history teaches us, that is if we’ve taken the time to really study “his story,” but in the year 1800, we see the enemy turn up the heat on the Black soul. When Napoleon’s army went into Egypt, they never thought in a million years that they would find what they found. As they raided the pyramids and the tombs…as they dug and unearthed ancient Egyptian history. They came across the most stunning and shocking revelation of all time…everywhere they looked, everywhere they dug…everywhere they raided, they found Black Africa, and they found out that Black Africa was the mother of all civilization. This was a most alarming revelation because it completely destroyed everything they ever believed about themselves. This revelation also set off the greatest deception of all time. Europe and America were enslaving Black folk…slavery was steadily moving towards becoming a trade that would mark and define these two nations even into today. At this point they had a need to rewrite history and transform it into their story…for what purpose? “To debase the Black man at all cost and in all minds,” beginning with the destruction of any memory of a Black African Egypt. A great white scholar, Count Constatine de Volney, put it like this: “The ancient Egyptians were true Negroes of the same type as all scorn, is the very race to which we owe our arts, sciences, and even the use of our speech.” Now go back to Isaiah 18: 1-6 and you’ll find that this statement summarizes the words of the prophet. The words of the prophet become very clear at this point. The land and the people that he is alluding to are us and the Land of Cush. If you happen to be reading out of the NIV you’ll find that this particular chapter is entitled “Prophecy Against Cush.” Read the words of the prophet as God gives him instruction: “Go, swift messengers, to a people tall and smooth-skinned, to a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers.” After reading these words there was no doubt in my mind of our place in the Biblical sense of things. This is the place where we have lost much of our identity. At this point, I must agree with the authors that God has indeed had more than enough of our being “dogged” out. I also believe that once we adhere to his direction for our deliverance as per 2 Chronicles 7:14 that we will not only realize the salvation of the Lord, but we will experience what true salvation is all about. God has heard our cries, that is, the cries of His people. He has heard every tear that has poured out of the Diaspora, and check this out…a little more than 40 years ago, God did send us our very own Moses, in the person of Martin Luther King Jr. He sent Brother Martin to Pharaoh to speak to him the Word from the Lord to let His people go! He made us understand that the battle we faced was not our battle but it was His. The Word tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual, and since our battle is a spiritual battle, then we ought to just do as God has instructed us to do (2 Chronicles 7:14) and not by our strength but by His spirit we shall overcome all the power of the enemy. And dig this here…we have tried a lot of stuff over the years, but when Dr. King taught us to fight in the spirit, we gained a lot of ground. When we allowed ourselves to be tricked out of fighting in the spirit we began to fall even farther behind than we were before Dr. King came on the set. Whenever God Himself fights the battles of His people for His people and for the freedom of His people there can be but one result, and I’m certain that if Pharaoh were still alive today, I’m certain that her would tell you that he would have never followed the Hebrews into the parted waters of the Red Sea. Today, Pharaoh has found newer ways to hold us in bondage and God has set the wheels in motion for the time of our freedom…and I say that the time for justice, freedom and liberty for Black folk is always and always right now…and the enemy does not know how to deal with this fact. The spiritually sensitive hear this and they all know that what they are hearing is truly from the Lord. God is showing us each and every day that the time of our degradation is coming to a close, and the thing He is going to do to bring it all to an end is so absolutely awesome that it goes far beyond anything we could ever hope for or imagine. His only requirement of us is that we return to Him through worship. He doesn’t even want us to physically raise our hand against the enemy, just as Jesus never once raised His hand against those who sought to kill Him (See Exodus 14:13-14). Does anyone of you realize that if we would just humble ourselves and pray…and seek the face of God…and turn from our wicked ways, that God is going to part some very rough waters for His people (us), and provide us with an escape from our oppressor and from the machinery of our oppression. I don’t know about you but just thinking about God coming to our rescue and parting the seas of our oppression for us so that we would be free straight up excites me! We may not actually see any natural bodies of water be parted, but I will tell you all this, if we indeed turn our hearts back to God we are going to see stumbling blocks fall down all around us, and doors are going to be opened in places that have traditionally been closed to us. That’s what happens when The Lord of hosts fight s for His people. Did you know that that is His name whenever He’s in His battle Spirit? The Lord of hosts! This is the God that is coming to deliver us from bondage…He is the same God that Isaiah speaks of in 18:7…and the people that he describes in that same verse? Well…you decide for yourself whom he is referring to. I want to take a break right here, and I want to add another little something just to tweak your spirit and incite your imagination. It’s a little quiz on Black History. Don’t fret it if you don’t get all of the questions right…what matters is that once you get to see the answers it may cause you to dig a little deeper, and that…even deeper. After doing the questions you can scroll down to the bottom of the page to get the answers…but I just wanted you all to get a “little taste’” as Ray Charles would say…enjoy…and see you on the other side. Thank You Jesus for that little lesson in African history…I pray that every reader has gained and grown if even just a little…I also pray that this lesson will incite them into a season of a dig deeper growth and elimination of the lack of knowledge. That was good wasn’t it? Don’t forget, the answers are down at the bottom of the message. Before I go on, I just want to say that this has been the most exciting journey that I have ever been on in my life, and I have been on some journeys…some physical…some mental…by ship, plane…combat zone and chemical…this spiritual journey has indeed been the most exhilarating. Again thank You Jesus…and a special thanks to all of you that are still with me on this one. You see, I know that I cannot take everyone with me…sometimes I have to hear it the way Abraham spoke it at the foot of the mountain just before he and Isaac went up for the sacrifice…he told those that remained that they were to stay with the asses…now that’s not calling anyone any kind of name, but it is to say that not everyone can go up the mountain, not everyone is experienced enough to travel the way of the mountain. However if you’re still here I thank you for staying the course. Now…let’s get back to our message When we left off we were talking about, or were about to start talking about being the called worshippers, and if that’s not where we were, it is definitely where we are headed. You know, there are many pastors and/or church leaders who use the Word of God to build mega-financial- empires. They would have you believe that receiving salvation and ultimately “getting into heaven” has a price tag attached to it. They are part right, but the cost that we must pay is not a monetary one. And although the Bible does instruct us about paying our tithes, we find many churches using Malachi 3 for nothing more than to convict us about obeying the law, pretty much forgetting that Jesus gave us liberty from the law. But I’m not here to argue tithing because we should tithe and want to help the church to financially be able to help people…if that’s what they are doing. Before we go up in there I have to say that God wants to make a point about something. God has not only declared a great judgment on the nations that have oppressed His people, He has also declared a marvelous promise to His people. Of course I will be the first to tell you that a part of that promise has everything to do with 2 Chronicles 7:14, which I call God’s prescription for the forgiveness, healing and deliverance of His people. But there is more to this promise than meets the eye…check this out. God has determined that He must be clear about all that He is about to do, and whom He is about to do these for…or against. He has already anticipated the confusion, and you would have to know that there will be a lot of confusion because there are going to be those that have been taught that we just were no part of anything that has anything to do with the Word. They are threatened by our eventual return to glory simply because they feel that our return to glory will bring about their downfall…so yes, there are those that are going to challenge any and all revelation of truth. So He has to be clear about whom He is talking…in this case…in the first two verses of Isaiah 18 we find that He prophesied against Cush, and I pray that I needn’t have to tell you who these people were…but read the Word of Prophecy against Cush: “Woe to the land of whirring wings along the rivers of Cush, which sends envoys by sea in papyrus boats over the water. Go, swift messengers, to a people tall and smooth-skinned, to a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers.” Is there any doubt in your mind who God is talking about here? Not in mine…the same people that received God’s pronounced judgment against them in the past are the same people who shall receive the promise of deliverance and healing before the end of the age. Don’t you worry, we’re getting there. You have to understand that it took a lot of work in creating the deception that got us where we are, so it’s going to talk a lot of truth to bring us out of that place…so you need to know that it will take great patience from us all. The Name of Jesus Pray that this work is blessing you as much as it is blessing me by doing it. I also pray that you are being encouraged to dig deeper into the Word and the resources to seek out the truth for yourself and not just take my word on anything. That is the key to learning, and the key to coming into the Light of the Lord. We learned a little about the names of God previously, but it needs to be understood the importance of these names, and you only have to key into the subject box of your homepage site the words “The names of God or The meaning of the names of God to find them all for yourself, but for right here and right now, just know that the names of God are important. When He identifies Himself as the “Lord of hosts,” We find that He has given us His military name. This is the name that He uses whenever He considers that the battle is His…this is when He guarantees victory with His might. God uses this title when gathering His people for worship. Hold that thought…I said that this is the name that God uses whenever He is gathering His worshippers. Now this is His promise concerning Black folk…see Isaiah 18:7…He selects the name that signals the gathering of His worshippers…now what we need to do here is turn our Bibles to Zephaniah 3:10. There we will see that God’s chosen for this promise happen to be Black folk first of all…and secondly we are His called worshippers. Turning quickly to the first chapter of Zephaniah we find out that Old Zeph was an Ethiopian prophet of God, so it stands to reason that his prophetic word was given to people who looked like him…that would have been other Ethiopians. God’s worshippers were of Ethiopian descent. Now turn in your Bible to Psalm 68:31, it reads like this: “Envoys will come out of Egypt; Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.” What we see here is an ordained act of worship…God selects…He gathers together…and we stretch out our hands in adoration and praise…the circle is complete…and when we begin these two acts, we will have found ourselves in the middle of the prophecy of 2 Chronicles 7:14. Are you feeling me? We are that people who come from beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, and now stretch even to the shores of this great nation called America…and here…we are re-introduced to the Word of God and the promise of His great salvation, healing and deliverance through the hell that was and is the machinery of our oppression…which is what we can call today…modern slavery. Oh my God…a change is coming! Not only are we re-introduced to God, but we will embrace Him as well, and as we do we will begin to see the great salvation of the Lord. My God what an awesome word from the Lord this is! And where does all of the salvation, healing and deliverance come from…you got that right…it all comes through the name that is above every name…the mighty and matchless Name of Jesus! All of this because God is gathering His present, and what or who is that present? His worshippers Zephaniah 3:10). God is pleased with the material praise…but that gift of worship really gets the attention of the Lord (Hebrews 13:16). Let me quote Return to Glory co-author and pastor Don Griffin: “God is well-pleased with such sacrifices (Hebrews 13:15-16). Praise then, is an offering (sacrifice), a gift if you will, that God is delighted to receive. But let me assure you of this: God is not speaking simply of your lips forming words of praise. It must be sincere and from he heart (Matthew 15:8). Your sacrifice of praise is only as good as the sincerity of your heart.” Also see Romans 12:1 for further reference to this sacrifice of praise. I have one more quote that I would like to submit to you out of the RTG. It is a quote from The Matthew Henry Commentary: “…a people…shall be a present to the Lord…though they seem useless and worthless, they shall be an acceptable present to Him…” Matthew Henry is saying that the people themselves are a present to the Lord…a praising, worshipping people. My brothers and sisters we are the gift…we are the ones who are to be a present to the Lord in this season, and we have indeed been positioned to be a sacrifice of praise to God. Thank You Jesus…Lord we praise You…we glorify Your Holy Name…Hallelujah…Hallelujah…there is none like You…none like You…thank You…thank You Lord! This is what we are called to do…this is all we need to do in the battle. We were not called to step into the battle to do any physical fighting, noooo, not at all we were called to worship God! I know that there is so much more, but This is but some of what I have gained from listening to the audio book and reading the book…and from watching the video Return to Glory/The Powerful Stirring of the Black Race, and again, I do want to acknowledge both Joel Freeman and Don Griffin for the light that God has given them that I could share with you, you can check their site out at Return to Glory.org, and I also want to acknowledge the Blacks in the Bible website for the Blacks in the Bible IQ Quiz, BLACKS IN THE BIBLE*************************** HOME OF THE BLACKS IN THE BIBLE SERIES . One other acknowledgement must go out to DR. Rudolph Windsor for any information gleaned for his book “From Babylon to Timbuktu”. I hope and pray that God is pleased with this work, and I pray that you will be blessed by it. Did you know that today's Black Muslims in America have traded their white American slave name in for an Arabic one? The Arabs who now occupy North African nations such as Egypt and Libya, and others, are invaders of the African continent and originate from Noah's youngest son Shem, father of the s(h)emitc peoples. Whereas, black Africans are descendants of Noah's second son, Ham, father of the blacks races. Arabs invaded North Africa some 600 years after Christ's resurrection and they now call themselves Egyptians.... Therefore, African Americans who have converted to the Nation of Islam have exchange their white slave name in for an Arabic one. Arabs are descendants of Abraham from the line of Shem, whereas black people are descendants of Ham through the line of Ham. 1. Adam was red, the name Adam means Red Man.
your thinking of edom. Adham (Adam) is a derivitave of the hebrew word Adhama, which means earth. He was created from the earth, for the earth, originally designed to consume only from the earth, etc... edom means red Genesis 25:25And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. Genesis 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. Genesis 36:1Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom. Genesis 36:8Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom. edom is pronounced ee-dum. adham is ah-dom. In the beginning, everybody was pretty much black. everything else is a variation. ... are u a hebrew, or a egyptologist, or a christian, or what?
