REVELATIONS IN THOUGHT FROM REVELATIONPART 3: PART 2: GOD REMEMBERS WHO HAS DISTURBED THE EARTH AND HIS PEOPLE(REVELATION 7: 1-3)
Editors Note: I feel the Spirit and I thank Almighty God for this inspiration. Blessed are those that see and feel the Spirit of God in their hearts. Those that see God are not disturbed by the foolish actions of man as they pray for all that liveth. But who are the most victimized by the wayward and lost attitude of those that seek greed over need?In the name of God, Master of the Universe, Ruler of the earth
The gluttons fasted on lack of compassion as they confused love and the rights of other human beings. This near sighted man held no regard for other beings that also live. Therefore he held a great feast at the banquet of selfish desire based on hoarding material resources of men. However John took no pictures nor did he record anything that he saw. But the sages did write as God gave them breath and not man as He the Creator saw all.
Peace be unto you. Beloved will Almighty God bring confusion, consternation and destruction upon the land these days and times? Will this destruction be similar to what was seen by John as he was inspired to write the 6th Division of Revelation? Will there be many things that our eyes fail to see as we move through the late time in which we live? Are there more answers in the mind of temporal man than in his heart? David and John had the heart of God.
Has man the right to disturb the earth and cause turmoil under and below the surface? What of the people that live, walk and crawl the earth? What is their role in the God sanctioned role of conservation of the things He has created?
We will continue our review of Revelation 7 and the 2nd verse. Where do the angels stand today?
Revelation 7: 2 “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea.”
What is significant about an angel ascending from the east? So as four angels stood ready to turn the wind loose upon the earth another angel was seen coming upon the scene with a special message.
What did this angel bring? How are messages from God seen today? Is there a message in the Wind? What of the things called Hurricanes, Earthquakes and great storms like Tornadoes and the downpour of Rain and Hail? What is heard as many hear great sounds or noise called Thunder? Does the fire from the sky light the fires of your hearth or heart?
Here we see the figurative use of the word east to note throne of God. Thus this message came from God. God is the source of spiritual light as Jesus is the Light of the world. The Sun as you know comes up in the east. Now brethren what does hurt the earth mean? How can the earth be damaged, abused, disfigured, insulted and sent in an outrage? Does the earth have feelings? What controls the feelings or the responses of the things that we seem to believe have no life that God created?
Did the men described at the closing verses of Revelation 6 hurt the earth? Is this a reference to those that sit in high places that seek to be capitalist kings of the world? Does the telescope change today to include those that seek not to explore for science or need but for greed, John looks far and wide. Is John looking at more than the falling away and the judgments regarding the apostate institutions?
As you dwell and take heed to the afore mentioned comments and scripture follow us now to our final primary scripture regarding Revelation 7.
Revelation 7: 3 “Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”
The angels that John spoke about are still evident in this verse. Here we see that they were told to hold back the winds until the faithful ones had been accounted for. Who were/are the faithful ones? This seal is a stamp of ownership. The seal is placed on the proper person to indicate the approval of the authority behind it. (Paul mentions a seal of approval when writing to the people at Corinth at I Corinthians 9: 2).
Meanwhile this seal that John reveals (seal or stamp) will be placed on the forehead in a visible place for all to see. We are not told of its fulfillment however we are told that it would tell the world of God’s approval. Will those then that take (steal, wallow in a larcenous fashion) away the resources of the world in a reckless fashion as men of alleged power see their faults?
As the many things created by those with a heart and mind of greed crumble will they see the people of God with the marks of approval by God?
Will the dead come up out of the sea the belly of the earth and testify that they are God’s people? No one is surely lost at sea. Nor can anyone escape the resurrection to life that has been approved with the seal. Does this mean that one has to accept Christ to be approved by God?
We will now include two additional references for verse 3 and we pray for even more understanding.
Revelation 6: 6 “And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beast say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”
Will there be a famine or a great shortage of food and the necessary things to sustain life? Can we see through a telescope positioned by John to the time in which we now live and still see what John saw? The mention of wheat and barley as John was inspired were things that were necessary for the life and existence of the people of Ancient times. The figures noted as to the price reveal that they would be scarce which is generally the case in times of a great siege or warfare.
But oil and wine are not necessary articles of food. However they are helpful agencies of relief in times of distress. What type oil is John writing about? Olive oil played a great role in the lives of the people of the Ancient world. One can also eat Olive Oil and cook with it. So did wine as a means to refresh the mind and body. In the middle of hardships the Lord promised some relief would be afforded the people through these articles.
John carries us further in his vision as we now look to the last Chapter of Revelation and verse 4.
Revelation 22: 4 “And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”
We see once again the mark the seal that John noted at our primary scripture taken from Revelation 7. There is also the mark of the beast (see Revelation 14: 9). Will only the apostate church carry this mark?
We remind you that the entire Book of Revelation is revealed in various symbols. Now the Lord through John reveals the picture of Heaven. Is there any reference to the pollution of the great sea to the pure water noted at verse 1 of Revelation 22? Is the search for natural resources underground or underwater an infringement on the purity of the great sea? Just how can you seek natural resource and also be sanctioned by God?
So as the righteous see His face there is a great intimacy between God and those that have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Looking at the seal again we note that often those visiting a city or attending a convention carry a badge upon their breast for purposes of identification. But in the Heavenly city the name will be upon their foreheads. This distinguishes these people from the rest. Also there is only one Church.
Will those that carry the seal in their hearts see a pure stream of water or river that leads to Paradise and not destruction?
