wow interesting im aspiriing priest in the kemetic order in training hery heb and i have to compare the various cultures to learn how to work best with my dieties although ive been exposed to other aspects but still learning
i wanted to know what is the eqiuvalent of a ebo in kemet and how does a dietie recieve you to be ther child
in kemet do one recieves warriors as in yoruba
is all this done after a reading and do we elect god-parents in kemetic houses
i understand there are 3 initiations in kemet one undergo s just wanted to know if there were similarities
i know in vodou
santeria palo its similar
o is there a difference with working with your ancestors and your dieties and can one do a ebo and still practise kemet? and was blood sacrifices always apart of the traditions or did invading forces include that in and taint our pure traditions?
---------- Post added at 04:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:40 PM ----------
i am a neophyte on the road to studying the various aspects of kemet as i feel this is where my calling is,ive been exposed to the palo and santeria and vodou traditons never commited but i want to know know if being accepted by your ancestors has to follow with a ebo and if there a egiptian equivalent?
as i know there are 3 intiations one undergo from
1.shemu intiation
2.temple initaition
3.hemu initiation
but is performing a ebbo commiting yourself to the yorubatraditions and makeing a commitment to the orisha who are dieties i was told i was suppose to be crown but can being crown take place in kemetic traditon
how can i make a connection with my ancestors in the psirit of the afrikan traditon?
u can hit me here and facebook me search golfus fortune then my page should show and mailbox thanks
Note quite, you receive incarnation objectives (life purpose) and you can receive chart readings to know which clan you are a part of depending upon your date of birth, time you were born and location you were born in.
Though similar in some aspects, Neteru handles things differently than Yoruba, Voodoo, but that's about all I can share with you on that
Yes, each has its own dieties name differently for each path, but the same energies, but I'm sure in each there might be some differences, I'm not certain with Voodoo, I'm familiar with Akan and Yoruba but my spirit lead me to NTRU, see your PM for notes.
You shouldn't mix NTRU with Yoruba. Shekem Ur Shekem mentions this in his book Metu Neter 1. Though some aspects of the dieties are similar, initiations and readings differ. Its not to say you can't be interested and initiated in both paths, but you shouldn't mix the two.
Other aspects of learning through NTRU, as with all Diapora spiritual paths are taught by whomever is training you.
This is all something you would be trained on as you go along with a TRUSTED Babalawo/Palo/Madrino.i am a neophyte on the road to studying the various aspects of kemet as i feel this is where my calling is,ive been exposed to the palo and santeria and vodou traditons never commited but i want to know know if being accepted by your ancestors has to follow with a ebo and if there a egiptian equivalent?

Sorry if I seem shy of sharing information but being that we have agents on this board at times, I'm leary of sharing too much because we as a people have allowed "outsiders" to infiltrate enough of our spiritual paths that MP has to be careful with what I share as I hold sacred to their teachings and privacy.

Priest 3345, most African traditional religions provide the use of oracles to determine what exactly an Egun (elevated ancestor) is trying to communicate to and what they require from you.
Short of this one of the simplest ways to appease them is by erecting a shrine pouring libations and feeding them the types of foods and drinks they enjoyed in life.
Note none of this constitutes ancestral worship. Your egun/
Sheps want nothing less than to play an integral and dynamic role in your life. Placing offerings on their shrine is a way of honoring them, increasing our ase and theirs as well
