Seriously though, I can't see why getting elevated by sooooooo many people has failed to bring about any measurable change in the condition of Afrikans around the world. Are folks being elevated into complacency or just observing creation or what?????? Can smoking "herb" break the chains that bind, and if so what's taking it so long????

Using anything that is not natural to our bodies: like water, some foods, herbs in their natural state, clean air, etc... will eventually destroy us.

The Blunt Facts on Marijuana

Singer Rick James made a song about it (Mary Jane). Comedians Cheech & Chong made a movie about it (Up In Smoke). Rapper Dr. Dre named an album after a variation of it (The Chronic). What’s the power behind this thing (plant) called marijuana that many Americans have an affinity for?

Many health advocates are pro marijuana for healing and medicinal purposes. Many average persons are pro marijuana for opiate and escape purposes. Many musician clients/customer/friends of mine tell me they are pro marijuana for artistic creative ability purposes. Regardless of the group or individual, there’s a reason for smoking this natural substance.

Well, since I’m an herbalist and marijuana is an herb, what is marijuana, botanically and medically speaking? Marijuana is a common name of the plant called “cannabis.� Cannabis sativa is the botanical name for marijuana. Cannabis has many other common names, including but not limited to, hemp, pot, bud, bhang, Buddha, grass, Indian hemp, weed, reefer, ganja, dagga herb, muggles, and Mary Jane.

The medicinal part of cannabis is the flowering tops. Cannabis is an herbaceous annual plant found growing wild and also cultivated in warm climates. It can be found to some extent everywhere in the U.S., especially in the central and mid-western states. The rough, angular, branched stems reach a height of 3-10 feet and bear opposite (or alternate near the top), palmate leaves with 5 to 7 narrow, lanceolate, coarsely serrate, pointed leaflets. The flowers are small and green, the male growing on one plant in axillary panicles, the female on another on spike-like clusters from August to October. The fruit is a small, ash-colored achene. Cannabis or marijuana is primarily known for its euphorigenic and opiating properties. It is said to lift the spirits, “getting high.� It also is a muscle relaxant, an anesthetic of sorts (numbing pain). In addition to the properties supra, marijuana is also listed as an antiepilectic (combats epilepsy), antitussive (prevents coughing), antibiotic, antiasthmatic, antispasmodic, analgesic, hypnotic, oxytocic, antidepressant, anodyne (prevents pain), neuralgia (prevents migraine headaches), appetite stimulant, tranquilizer, nervine, and topical anesthetic.

The major constituent that gives marijuana its chief property is a chemical agent known as THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the primary intoxicant in marijuana and hashish.

Now if such a plant can tout such medicinal properties, why in the world would the federal government ban such a beneficial plant? Can you say POLITICS?

That’s right, the federal government banned marijuana for political reasons and purposes. The plant has been banned since 1937. Loyal weedheads (oops, I mean “smokers�) can thank robber baron industrialists such as William Randolph Hurst, the Duponts, Mellons, et al., for the ban on their sacred weed. The industrialist barons knew that if their new machines and petrochemicals were to have a life, cannabis/hemp would have to go.

Every year, it is estimated that more than 600,000 marijuana arrests are made nationwide. This is a small number when you consider that more than 30 million Americans smoke marijuana religiously and habitually.

You know, it’s funny when you think about it. The federal government outlawed or prohibited alcohol (manufacturing, selling, and transportation) via a constitutional amendment, the Eighteenth Amendment to be exact. But what constitutional amendment was created to ban marijuana? ABSOLUTELY NONE!

The United States Congress banned marijuana via federal statute (United States Code, Title 21) and the United States Supreme Court has just put in the last nail of the cannabis/hemp coffin with their ruling in Gonzalez v. Raich which states that federal laws banning the use of marijuana applies within the states, regardless of pre-existing state laws allowing medical use of marijuana.

The recent Supreme Court ruling was seriously flawed because when you understand law, the federal government via Congress only has exclusive jurisdiction or authority over Washington, D.C. (Ten Miles Square referred to in the U.S. Constitution at Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17) and federal territories within states such as dock-yards, federal buildings, armories, magazines, U.S. Post Offices, national parks, etc. The federal government has no authority outside of the District of Columbia and federal territories located within the various sovereign states. However, the federal government does have authority or jurisdiction over the states pertaining to commerce. Yes, anything pertaining to commerce the federal United States government can regulate both federally and state-wise. Okay, now what is commerce, legally speaking? This is very important because Americans are losing, actually have lost, their rights via ignorance in general and abject ignorance of legal terms. Commerce is legally defined as: “The exchange of goods, productions, or property of any kind; the buying, selling, and exchanging of articles.� SOURCE: Anderson v. Humble Oil and Refining Co., 226 Ga. 252, 174 S.E.2d 415, 417.

Now that you know and understand what commerce means or is legally speaking, the question must be asked, how in the world can growing and consuming marijuana for medical purposes be the equivalent of exchanging goods or buying and selling goods? It doesn’t make sense! Unless you grow marijuana and sell it (or buy it), commerce isn’t applicable. If a thing is not being transported, exchanged, bought and sold, there’s no commerce. Do you understand? So how could the United States Supreme Court and Congress justify banning marijuana in the states under the Commerce Clause? They couldn’t! They simply know how dumb and fearful the American people are and just simply punked their servants into submission. You see, the federal government could only ban marijuana in the states under the Commerce Clause because other than commerce, the federal government can’t regulate the states. This is what the Tenth Amendment is all about – State sovereignty! But the United States Supreme Court just violated the Tenth Amendment for political reasons.

Moving on...

You know, Americans are so hypocritical. This same banned plant was once hailed as a sacred crop in America, even to the founding fathers. Certain cities throughout America have been named in honor of hemp, including Hempstead, Long Island; Hempstead County, Arkansas; Hempstead, Texas; Hemphill, North Carolina; and Hempfield, Pennsylvania. All of these cities were named in honor of cannabis growing regions.

Certain early American colonies created laws ordering farmers to grow cannabis. Cannabis hemp was also legal tender (money) in most of America from 1631 until the early 1800’s. This is true or factual!

Ole Ben Franklin started one of the first paper mills with cannabis. Both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew cannabis on their plantations. Jefferson even trafficked marijuana illegally. He smuggled hempseeds from China into Turkey.

Before the modern day infatuation of smoking marijuana or hemp, the plant was widely grown and used for industrial purposes. It is reported that there were over 300 industrial uses for cannabis or hemp.

Ship’s charts, maps, logs, and Bibles were made from cannabis or hemp. Clothes, uniforms, textiles and fabrics, ropes, sails, pennants and ensigns were also made from hemp.

The Gutenberg and King James Bible, Thomas Paine’s pamphlets, “The Rights of Man,� “Common Sense,� and, “The Age of Reason,� the literary works of Mark Twain, Victor Hugo, Alexander Dumas, Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland� were all printed on hemp/cannabis paper.

The U.S. Pharmacopoeia indicated cannabis should be used for treating such ailments as fatigue, fits of coughing, rheumatism, asthma, delirium tremens, migraine headaches and the cramps and depressions associated with menstruation.

Even ole English Queen Victoria used cannabis/hemp resins for her menstrual cramps and PMS during her reign (1837-1901).

Okay, enough history in regards to cannabis/hemp. Clearly the plant was once widely accepted and used for a myriad of purposes.

Marijuana is a controlled substance. Why is marijuana (cannabis/hemp) a controlled substance? The government can only regulate controlled substances. A controlled substance is a substance that is controlled by government via regulation. A controlled substance is also known as narcotic. All governments, especially Western governments, use narcotics to control their subjects called citizens. This is also a mechanism of a controlled substance. Yes, a controlled substance is a substance used by government to control the population via destruction and impairment of brain cells.

All governments have legalized narcotics and drugs. In America, your legalized narcotics and drugs include SUGAR (CANDY), CIGARETTES, COFFEE, ALCOHOL, COCOA, and OTC (over-the-counter) DRUGS! Are not people strung out on sugar, cigarettes, coffee (Star Bucks), alcohol and pharmaceutical drugs? Of course they are!

Djehuty, Native Americans used to smoke marijuana in peace pipes. True! But they didn’t smoke it everyday. The Native Americans had peace in their daily lives because they lived in harmony with Nature, not because of smoking the peace pipe.

Native Americans offered the peace pipe to the invading white men as a gesture of peace or friendship. Many a white men waited until the Native American was opiated out of his mind from smoking the peace pipe and then scalped and murdered the Native American. The invading white man or European male didn’t want peace. He wanted “piece� as in “a piece of the land or property.� Native Americans have not had peace since the white man invaded their land.

The white man undoubtedly will make war in the name of peace. He will! The white man set up the United Nations (formerly the League of Nations) as a gesture of world peace. However, there have been more wars declared and fought after the establishment of the United Nations than all the wars fought before the United Nations was established and this actual fact or statistic.

And I can hear Black people saying, “Djehuty, why come we can’t smoke weed? Damn, I made that sound too ebonical. Let me rephrase it. “Djehuty, how come we can’t smoke weed?� “The white man smokes weed!� Of course he does! But the white man owns this whole goddamn nation and planet and he can do what the hell he pleases and it’s not a damn thing your monkey black behind can do about it. After all, Blacks are too busy dribbling basketballs up and down courts, throwing footballs, rapping and beat boxing, black females wearing G-strings and shaking their rear ends in degenerate gangster rap videos, etc. You can’t run a nation or the planet doing these types of things.

And Black people better not throw up the Native American peace pipe ritual in my face, because if marijuana smoking creates peace, as much weed or marijuana Black people smoke on a consistent and daily basis, Blacks ought to be the most peaceful people in America and on the planet, but the crime and violence statistics say, show, and prove otherwise. Many a fights and murders have occurred in the Black community after Blacks have engaged in weed smoking. Remember the scene in the movie Menace II Society with Larenz Tate before they take murderous revenge for Kokane’s cousin’s murder on Crenshaw Boulevard where he was jacked for his BMW?

Djehuty, are you against the smoking of marijuana? Hell yes! Why? I’m against smoking anything! Smoke does not belong in the human lungs. God created the lungs to expel carbon dioxide and to inhale oxygen, not smoke. Smoking is insane, regardless of what is being smoked.

Yes, marijuana may be natural, but when you put fire to anything natural, you change the molecular structure of the thing and create serious byproducts. Did you know that smoke has an affinity for the blood ten times stronger and greater than oxygen? This is something to think over.

Also and more importantly, marijuana is BANNED by the federal government – another good reason to stop smoking this plant. Black people are the number one people in America who cannot afford to catch a federal drug case or any other criminal case for that matter. Blacks are only 12 percent of the American population, but yet-in-still, 1 in 3 Black males are presently under the American penal system.

There is no justice for a Black person before the courts of this nation, especially in a criminal matter. Black people, especially Black youth, are expendable in the eyes of the American judicial system. And think about it, here in Los Angeles County, the average prisoner brings in $40,000.00 per year to the county from federal grant money – a big incentive for the jail industry.

The penal system does not like to lock up Black people just for some racial joy. Everything in America today is about business. There’s a lot of money to be made in locking Black people (and other people) up. The prison industrial complex is the second largest industry in America today with hundreds of major corporations (i.e., American Express, Citibank, Microsoft, etc.) owning stock in these prisons and jailhouses throughout the nation. There are various reasons why people in general and Black people in particular should stop smoking marijuana. Not only does smoking marijuana impair the lungs, but its smoke also pollutes and acidifies the blood.

Marijuana also destroys brain cells. It impairs cognitive skills and memory recall. It also affects the hypothalamus gland which regulates appetite. In my youth days growing up in South Los Angeles I remember the local homeboys always talking about having the “munchies� after smoking weed. They’d end up going to the local corner store and buying a whole lot of junk food, i.e., donuts, potato chips, cookies, soda pop, etc.

Many artists insist they smoke marijuana for creative purposes. How can smoking weed make you creative in only one area – your music? This is a linear creativity. I wouldn’t want to only be creative in simply one area of my life, but on all levels. There’s not a weed head or smoker out there who can be more creative from smoking marijuana than from the laying on of stones (gemstones and crystals); and unlike smoking marijuana, crystals and gemstones don’t harm the body. Crystals and gemstones open a person up on all eight levels of the subtle body and you’re conscious of this.

Smoking weed for creative abilities, in my opinion, is just a weak excuse to smoke marijuana to help deal with the pressures of the music or film industry and the pressures of life. How are you going to be expressive in your music and not expressive in your life? And it ain’t like folks are really saying something in their music today. Most music today is degenerative and destructive in nature. So how do you get destruction from creativity? Creativity means the ability to create, to build. Most rap and R&B music tear down Black women, values, community, morals and ethics, and righteousness.

Most artists are using their lower creativity located in the Base or First Chakra area called Muladhara and the Sacral or Second Chakra called svadhishthana. These two lower chakras deal with sexual creative energy. The first two chakras are located in the reproductive area or genitals. The first chakra is located at the penis and vagina and the second chakra (in women) is located at the site of the uterus and ovaries, behind the belly. And boy are Black females showing a lot of belly today. This is a sexually seductive site on the body. Why do you think belly dancers emphasize their bellies so much?

So you see, weed smokers utilize their lower creative energy which pertains to sex and this is why all you hear about today from most Black artists (rappers and singers) is sex – from Nelly, to R. Kelly, to Snoop Dogg, to Janet Jackson, to Destitute’s Child (opps, my bad!; I mean Destiny’s Child), and to a plethora of well known artists. And don’t think white singers are exempt from this category. Christina Aguillere, Britney Spears, J.Lo (a minority), Madonna and the likes all conveniently fit in the lower creative expression category.

But no other category of music has glorified weed smoking or marijuana than rap music in general, gangster rap in particular. Too Short, Spice 1, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, DJ Quik, Mista Grimm, Eazy-E, NWA et al. have all glorified weed smoking and have made this activity acceptable to American youth, Black youth in particular.

Weed smokers seem to hallucinate about experiences that they really don’t remember vividly or in detail. They credit the weed with making them feel a certain way whereas with crystals and gemstones, they simply reflect the consciousness and energy within Self projected into conscious awareness.

Marijuana negatively takes you out of your mind whereas crystals, meditation, prayer, and fasting doesn’t. These things help you to rise above the mind or to quiet the mind, but they don’t negatively impair the mind.

I’ve also noticed that weed smokers usually use marijuana for escape purposes. Smoking weed does not make a person more spiritual, intelligent, aware or conscious, etc. It is an opiate to help escape the harsh realities of the world and/or American society. Why do you think weed smokers call smoking weed “getting high?� ANSWER: Simply because they are “down� in spirit. Plain and simple! There’s no need to get “high� unless you’re “down.�

Yes, marijuana paralyzes neurological functioning, so you hear certain people talking about “I’m bout to go get STONED!� Others say, “I’m bout to go get BLASTED!� Listen to the descriptions used by weed smokers. In my neighborhood, the weed smokers constantly would say, “I’m bout to go get fucked up!� Like they weren’t already! What do you call being Black, expendable in the eyes of government, impoverished, ignorant, disenfranchised, full of self hate, disillusioned; being from a broken home, economically unviable, and criminal minded?

And have you not heard of weed referred to as a blunt? Cats (homeboys) in my neighborhood used to talk about “taking a blunt to the head.� Many people have been murdered by killers and murderers due to being struck in the head with a “blunt� object, and now you got people smoking “blunts� and talking about “blunting out their own brains.� When does the nonsense stop?

Now on the metaphysical tip, marijuana causes etheric or auric mucus. Yes, energetic phlegm is contained within the aura. Chemical drugs affect the aura. It causes a dark grayish appearance in the aura which denotes serious toxicity.

Smoking marijuana also affects spirituality. You’ve never heard of Buddha, Muhammad, Jesus, Lao Tzu, Confucius, or any of the other sages or the saints smoking marijuana. These wise ones always fasted or abstained from things. Jesus went into the wilderness for forty days and forty nights. Muhammad went into his cave to meditate. Buddha sat and meditated under the Bodhi tree.

Smoking marijuana has not helped the world in general and American society in particular.

The U.S. government knows marijuana, at least this new breed of it, is no good for people, especially Black people. In Black people, marijuana interferes with melanin activity. Chemicals in marijuana mimic melanin molecules and confuses the body and brain which tries to process the chemicals in marijuana. Chemicals bind to melanin and causes problems at the brain-blood barrier in the brain. This is why we act different after consuming marijuana and drugs. This is also why Black people stay addicted to marijuana and other drugs longer than white and other people. Chemical alkaloids stay in our bodies longer, especially the cardioxides.

The Delta 9 Cardioxide that they look for in the drug test when they perform the screening is a close chemical cousin to another cardioxide that runs off the body in the urine when melanin break downs. Is it a coincidence that drug screeners look for a certain cardioxide that is similar to the cardioxide resulting from melanin breakdown which is found in the urine predominantly in Black people?

This is a very ingenious plan to not hire or to terminate Black people in the work force of American society. Now Black people can’t holler racism or discrimination when not hired or fired from a job due to breaking the law (health and safety code; drug laws).

Author Kent Holtorf, M.D., in his book “Ur-ine Trouble� states the following in re Blacks and drug testing:

“Most drugs, including cocaine and marijuana, bind and incorporate into hair of African-Americans 10 to 50 times greater than drugs are incorporated into the hair of Caucasians. Thus, with equal drug use, African-Americans are 10 to 50 times more likely than Caucasians to have a positive drug test. Robert E. Joseph, M.D., et al, from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), writes, “Differences greater than 50 fold were observed in cocaine binding to Africoid male hair compared with blond, female Caucasoid hair specimens.� Gary L. Henderson, Ph.D, et al, from the Department of Medical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, writes, “A significant variable affecting the incorporation of cocaine into hair appeared to be race…non-Caucasians had significantly more cocaine incorporated into their hair than did their Caucasian counterparts.� Opioids were shown to incorporate into pigmented hair 21.3 times more than into non pigmented hair following identical doses. Greater concentrations of cocaine were also found in the hair of Hispanics and Indians in comparison studies have also demonstrated and confirmed the racial bias in hair testing.�

So there, even worldly authorities testify to the fact that melanin binds with chemical drugs. And what people possess the most melanin? Black people! There is a scientific and medical reason why Black people love and get addicted to drugs. But if Black people were smart, they’d leave ALL drugs alone, including legalized drugs called over-the-counter drugs.

The human body is not made up of chemical drugs. Black people are the most devout religious people in the world and the United States, actually to their own doom if you ask me. They profess to be Christian and adherents of the Bible, but where does the Bible tell you that God made drugs for the service of man and for the healing of the nations? It doesn’t! The Bible clearly tells a person in Psalm 104:14 that God causes HERB to grow for the service of man. Revelations 22:2 clearly states that the LEAF shall be for the healing of the nations. But millions of Christians, especially the devout Black Christians, are loyal drug heads and pill poppers in the name of Christ with their hypocritical selves.

Many Christians are a disgrace to Jesus! They are cowardly, hypocritical, and outright ignorant which is why American life is whipping their backsides daily. They profess to follow Jesus, a man who said “I have overcome the world,� but yet in still when you look at his so-called followers, the world has overcome them. They are sick, their youth fills up jails and juvenal halls across the country; their girls parade around half naked (in society and on music videos) and end up as teen mothers; they experience episodes of driving while black regardless of their status in life and occupations; they are shafted up the rear end by the IRS and state tax collecting agents; they get pulled over left and right by the police and receive traffic tickets daily; their communities are swarming with violence and self hate crimes, their households are single parent headed. They are catching serious hell and cases left and right. But yet in still, Jesus is their Comforter who is supposed to teach them all things, according to the Gospel of John, Chapter 14. If Jesus is teaching, they show aren’t listening and/or learning!

The same above pertaining to Christians applies to Muslims and Jews. Doesn’t matter what religion you profess. The sole criterion is Black skin, as Malcolm X tried to tell us more than 40 years ago.

So, the government knows marijuana is no good for Black people. The ban on marijuana is also due to the fact prohibition (suppression) creates desire. By banning a substance people want, the government knows people will go through all extremes to get it. Although drugs are banned in jail, you can still get drugs in jail. Now how do you explain this? How could America stomp out Hitler’s Nazism but can’t seem to stomp out drugs (illegal drugs)? ANSWER: Because the United States government is behind the drugs. The United States military and CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) are the biggest drug traffickers in the world.

The U.S. military transported heroin into America via the chest cavities of dead soldiers back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Yes, your government that you support with federal taxes did this.

The CIA dumped crack cocaine into the black community (starting with South Los Angeles) in the early 1980s and even admitted it and not a damn thing was done about it. Not even a slap on the wrist. And when researcher Gary Webb (who just happened to be a white man) was about to stir the controversy up again with a second book, the CIA conveniently murdered Webb in his Sacramento apartment and made it look like a suicide. The man had TWO gunshot wounds to the head. Now how in the world do you commit suicide by shooting yourself TWICE in the head? But you see, the government knows Americans are so damn ignorant that they can tell the American people any ole thing.

The U.S. government has murdered Osho, John Lennon, Bob Marley, Janis Joplin, Lenny Bruce, Kwame Ture (Stokely Carmichael), Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, et al., and now Gary Webb. And absolutely nothing can or will be done about it because the American people are too damn cowardly and dependent on the same murderous government, especially for benefits.

So by banning marijuana, it makes Blacks want it even more. But look at what it does to the health of the Black smoker. Smoking weed has not made Blacks more healthier, more intelligent, more politically conscious, more spiritual, etc.

Local herbalist Dr. Sebi touts marijuana for medicinal purposes. I do too, but NOT in regards to smoking it. This is where we differ.

If smoking marijuana is good for health, how come it didn’t save singer Rick James life? And what about singer Bob Marley who was a notorious weed smoker who died of cancer (injected by government agents)?

My father smoked weed EVERY SINGLE DAY of his life from 1983 to 1994 and DIED of lung cancer. That’s right! The man died in 1994 of lung cancer. His lungs were black like tar when they should have been pink like bubble gum. This is what the carbon monoxide poisoning from marijuana did to his lungs. My father’s cancer was so bad that it paralyzed him. The cancer spread to his spine and crippled the man within days. He was bedridden for six months and confined to a wheel chair. He had to wear diapers. I couldn’t believe that my father, the great Earnest Cooper Sr. was reduced to this. And the bizarre thing was, my little brother and I constantly warned and argued with my father about smoking weed so much. We both eventually knew pops would not live to see the year 1995. Our estimation was accurate! The man died six days after his 50th birthday.

One of my father’s last words to me was, “Son, you’re right!� “Your way (lifestyle) is right, you keeping doing what you’re doing.� Damn, pops, did you have to die in order to know this?

Black people are too damn rebellious in their rebellion against the Tao (Way/Nature/Universe). Traditional paralysis is choking the life out of us. We’d rather follow tradition rather than God or the Tao.

Wrapping up this article, there are many Black metaphysicists who know or believe that marijuana is not even from this planet. While many of us may disagree what planet precisely marijuana is from, the majority of us agree that it is from the planet or star system Orion. The rulers of this world are from Orion. They incarnate into the flesh of a certain race.

They know marijuana causes Black people’s vibrations to drop which slows down their thought patterns. Smoking marijuana and drugs causes rapid deterioration of brain cells and outright loss of magnetic brain particles. There are nine magnetic particles in the human brain. However, drug and alcohol consumption, radiation (from earphones, television, cell phones, etc.), synthetic acoustics (music, esp. LOUD MUSIC), and chemical oxides destroy these magnetic particles, so today, you have people only operating on seven, six, five, or even two magnetic brain particles.

Smoking marijuana also impairs sexual activity. Instead of oxygen circulating to the genitals, carbon monoxide circulates to the genitals and it is oxygen that is needed for arousal (and hang time) of the genitals.

Smoking marijuana is deleterious for a developing baby in the womb. Many a female weed heads have delivered premature babies. Marijuana smoke like all other smoke corrupts and pollutes the bloodstream.

Djehuty Ma’at-Ra is PRO marijuana as a medicinal, in liquid extract or tea form. I’m ANTI marijuana as an agent or substance to be smoked. However, because I know the history of marijuana and what is being done to it today (it is being urinated on, dipped into chemicals that cause tuberculosis), I don’t mess with it. And considering that there is a federal (and state) ban on it making its use and possession a crime, why bother with all the drama? It only benefits our open enemy (U.S. government).

I deplore people in general and Black people in particular to leave this substance alone. Considering its damaging effects on the body and the governmental ban on it, it is highly wise for us to leave this stuff alone. Can’t you see that it is bait into the belly of the beast (prison industrial complex)? You don’t need marijuana! Learn to meditate, to use crystals and gemstones, to fast, to perform yoga, to use herbs and incense, to chant, to astral project.

Before you attempt to refute my words or even debate me on this subject, make sure you do your homework on all levels.

Like I say in regards to all other opiates, marijuana simply is a means to fill a spiritual void. You can or will never find God by lighting fire to a substance and then inhaling the smoke directly into the lungs.

Incense smoke travels via the nostrils and is filtered before hitting the limbic system. Marijuana, like cigarette smoke, travels directly into the bloodstream and into the lungs. So there’s a major difference!

PLEASE STOP SMOKING MARIJUANA FOR YOUR OWN GOOD AND HEALTH!!!

Uhuru, I do not smoke and have not done so in say over 12-13 years. I'm 31 now. Anyway, There is an interesting book on this "Emperor Wears No Clothes". It is a book on Hemp. Just as a previous post had, a Native person in Nepal smoking hemp. He wasn't rolling it up in this Carcenogenic phillies newspapers or Black and Milds whatever folk role with these days. I have not read this book entirely, I will not smoke it no time soon until or if I decide to do some research on it. Historically speaking many though have suggested that certain herbs have helped Warriors during fighting. I believe some Afrikans still use something right now. Not that they use anything for researched reasons. I just believe that some folks want to escape. Want to have that feeling of Power. Everything is about Power. Folks do not want to do the necessary things that really make us feel good like striking blows to Global White Terror Domination. Rasta folk that I know tend to be not very political. Not to label or stereotype, but most I know, smoke and they are already stupid. They don't smoke as one other post suggested when they are reading to reflect. Suffice to say, I do not deal with many folks that smoke weed. I find many weed smokers not of good character, decent looks, decent smell and good hygiene so I practice refinement in my life if folk are not trying to build and elevate I'm try to get one to build in a healthy way. Besides, I work on a plantation "for now" and I don't want Crackas to have nothing to say about my standards.

1. I don't look to the ways of my oppressors for guidance, period. Who cares what they do.

2. If I recall correctly, YT, Germans are the ones who invented meth. They used it in their armies to help the soldiers fight the cold. I don't have any articles to support that but I am sure if one is interested they can find the information on their own...maybe I saw it on the History or Discovery channel or something like that.

There was also a news article posted by Yahoo news a while back that stated "studies" (if you go for that) show that guanja does not cause cancer, that it actually has more positive health benefits than percieved negative ones. Honestly, I'd rather consume guanja than to take over-the-counter or prescription medications any day, if the herb will help the ailment.

Yt made guanja illegal for THIER BENEFIT, not ours. They love alcohol and ciggarettes, both are more harmful than herb, yet those things are legal. It is the adopted western mindset that has kept our people bound, not guanja (this fact is evident if one reflects on the past. We are more unhealthy now then ever before...yet the practice of weed toking been around for thousands of years. Guanja is not the case of our downslide). Western mindsets/advertising via the programming box (television) keeps the senses stimulated, increases heart rate, enabling a state of trance. Guanja decreases the breathing rate and is a vital tool to help open the higher chakras.

It is not my concern if one smokes it, teas its, cooks with it, etc...it is what it is, a herb-tool, that power manifest via the direction of our own free will, actions etc.

To each his or her own I say. If one can handle it and be productive then do, if you can't then don't. It is that simple.

WombanAuset: I've never read a more detailed account. The closest I came was a video on why Hemp was banned and detailing other banned substances in comparison.

The documentary also detials the industrial uses of Hemp, and the fact it has been used for millenia. It also chronicles that hemp was banned because it threatened rising industrialists profits. They would struggle to compete. It was used as a 'weapon' against the mexicans who smoked it regularly to rid the USA of these peoples.

It does have medicinal properties. I am not sure too sure of their detail, but I have met one person who took part in a medical trial. She suffered with arthritis and claimed it helped her with her ailment.

The dark side to I am aware of. In some parts of the western world, its active ingredient (THC), is heightened by successively breeding the most potent plants. There is a new breed called Skunk and Hybrid that have very high levels of THC. At these levels serious phsychological harm can come to the user in the form of Pscychosis. It is not limited to this and can lead to serious and lasting mental illness. This in addition to the fact that it is most likely being smoked.

This is just in addition to the posts I've read here. On the face of it, I have to admit that the pro's outweigh the con's.

The problem here is many of us lie to ourselves (wtf, I aint gonna include myself here), probably coz they get addicted, and go high when its not needed, but even counterproductive.
As I was tellin Queen Cynequa last night, some conscious people criticize "Babylon" and people in it, for their continuos need of new material things to fullfill their empty souls. Yet they do the same, lookin for new emotional stimulation Outside of themselves, to fill the same empty soul. Thats why many so called conscious folks I have run into claim to smoke herb so they escape the world, they smoke, they travel, and they change their world for all the wrong reasons. Lets no be like them hippies from the 70's lol.

In my opinion we should try workin both ways. Smoke, try ur senses, learn new points of view, meet new people, new places, loose ur sense for a min, conect with ur high self. But dont let ur focus change! lets put all this in practise and keep in mind we on a mission.
As Baba Ahmed always said to me, we have to find out how everything we do can be of help for our people/communities. If smokin herb is keepin u from solvin ur real problems and makin ur forget forever about the real deal, watch urself!
