How Do We Get Free?

I've been reading the boards for over a year now, looks like alot of us have very sound plans of action my question is what do ya'll think would be the best/logical way of us getting free (in ALL ways) please answer the poll and give a reason why you chose that answer , I ask this because it's over 3600 members on this forum alone and generally we all agree that we need to do something to better our people ,we run into problems when we bring opposing religions and opposing idealogies into the mix when the focus should be on one goal and that's getting free so that we can obtain(or get back) the spirituality that we lost,get back the self reliance we lack as a group (in most of our communities , I know ya'll see this too),help our people out on the Afrikan continent and all other parts of the world where our people are at the bottom if these are common goals among us...... why don't we have it together yet? YES we need to organize city by city and state by state but organize to do what ? YES we need to learn the ways of our ancestors who were able to create and maintain great civilizations , but what do you do with that information after you've learned it ? Basically what i'm saying is that this forum is a great way to connect with likeminded Afrikans who share the same goals for our people, but what is the best way to obtain the goal of liberation, for me it's Economics, the majority of our people are either in debt or on they way there why? because we not spending the money that we do have wisely and yeah I also know that alot of us also don't have much money to begin with to spend or save wisely so what's the answer....... we need to pool our resources it could be 10 dollas a month from 1 million of us or even 10,000 of us (our numbers right now is about 39 million in this country)for the next 5 years or 10 years that's working capital for us to do what needs to be done such as supply jobs for our people, build up our communities with livable housing ,organic food sources, education centers, among many other things that we need ..... I know i got run-on sentences out the a** right now(lol i'm having a Garvey moment) so i'll end it here I hope ya'll get what i'm saying though if not, ask me

I agree whole heartedly, the main thing is a unified effort, the economic power Afrikans in this country is around 300 billion annually. we only need to organize a quarter of our general population in order to have a powerful effect

Thank you Bro Manifest , i'm glad you understood what i was sayin I know it's hard sometimes(lol) but yeah we got over 500 billion dollars going into a system that don't give a care about us just imagine what could be accomplished with that money ,you want clean water in Afrika ? there's the money, you want our children in amerikkka and all over to be fed and clothe? you wanna be in control of your own destiny? I'm not really a dreamer.... I really do believe this can happen all it takes is a few of us to get the job done for the collective or at least start the work

btw I'ma Sistar (lol you've done this to a few of the sistars on here i've noticed, but it's all love brotha!)

I think if we as black people on a large scale pool our finances together, we would have enough to build some Black Star Line Ships/Planes. I mean c'mon we're not that damn broke. Marcus Garvey has shown the capability we have as a people if we work together. So in other words..UNITY is the key to freedom as well as repatriation to our own society govern by our own culture.

But, I have thought about this for a while....the ones that have the heart of a warrior are in the midst of those who don't(--or may have and are too afraid to participate in any real, active "revolution".) You must admit, we have all been victims of government conditioning that true revolutionaries are removed or discreditied in one form or fashion so that the mass population will not be willing to support them. We also have the disadvantage of "our own" working against us to bring about freedom. Is it possible to create a "ripple effect?" For example, look at the China Towns located within cities. They have created their own self-supporting communities. They came together, and actively support their own. Puting income back into their communities. And they buy more land to expand their communities.

We must free our minds from a conditioned way of thinking that keeps us forever slaves. They have removed the physical shackles only to replace them with psychological and spiritual ones. And for those who are in prison or exiled for trying to show us the way, we must not let their efforts be in vain. The guidlines are there. The only other ingredient necessary is ACTION. When enough of our men are in prison, when enough of our women are breaking down and going into institutions, when enough of our children are giving up and becoming addicts, then maybe we will wise up and stop being the dumping ground for everyone else.

What is stopping us from massively migrating here in the good ole' USA, creating a community of revolutionary minds and sending a powerful message to other countries that we have had enough and that we are organizing for freedom and there will be hell to pay for anyone that wants to bring us down again? That includes the racist minds of this country and those of "us" that supports them.

Where I'm from that is so evident. As a matter of fact immigrants from all over would come to my former state, leaving behind loved ones in their home country, work 2-3 jobs and send back monies to their families. I would read articles in the local paper, there with the immigrant family stating how much they missed thier family but for the sake of their family, they had to sacarifice and go where they could provide a better life for all. We need to take on a simular mindset- only that the better life awaits us in the motherland, AFRICA!!! Yes we will encounter hardships much like the immigrants that come to this country endure. I wholeheartedly believe that we as a collective will have to give up the notion of ever being "equal" here in amerikkka and face the fact that it is unachievable here.

Who said anything about staying here ? and wanting "equality" in this country? certainly NOT me...... the whole point of my posts was to say that we need to be in a position to help our own people both here and all over the world but esp. in our motherland and from the look of things right now in our hoods....we as weak as water, Economic Unity is the only way,imo, to get free from this country and GO BACK HOME WHERE WE BELONG

And the whole point of my post is that somewhere down the line we will have to sacrafice our comfort levels and start over ELSEWHERE.

The whole point of the immigrant stories is that a family or families pooled together their resourses, sent ONE or TWO people to another country to work, scrape together a living initially and was able to prosper much like Opaldark has stated about the various chinatowns all over this country.

People are not standing around hemming and hawwing about how they are going to go about doing it, or waiting around until they have enough people to make a move. They just do. In the process they meet up with like minded people and THERE they gather strength in numbers. Or, they hook up with people already there and join them one by one.

There are some who think that by gaining economic and educational power in the meantime that we will finally be seen as equals here in this country. It will never happen.
