Lightbulb Strategy Ideas

Strategy Ideas

"Liberation Strategy" sounded so interesting that I couldn't pass up putting in my $0.02. What I say may not be strategy so much as interesting advice.

How shall we deal with our oppressor? In any battle between two opposing forces, the victor will definately be the more organized force. Think about a game of chess -- if you're black and he's white and he's got a plan of attack and you arer randomly bumbling around your pawns, guess who's going to win (ever notice how white starts first in chess)?

I better mention now that I will probably draw from quite a few examples from white history... since they have destroyed ours in the motherland.

So the first thing we have to do is get organized, and the best way to do that is through education. Education is truly the salvation of the nation. Education helps the development of the mind and provides an overall bump in intelligence to the race. Once you get educated, it's kinda hard to get uneducated. We can educate each other at home, at the library, using the internet, in a park -- where ever, however. I'm an avid fan of reading books at Barnes and Noble (and not buying them). I know Blacks and education is something like George Bush and honesty, but to survive, or win, that is going to have to change.

I said something about absentee fatherism in my introduction, and I'm still totally against it. If you took the time to make the child, take the time to raise the child. It's a very simple concept. I don't know when it became en vogue to not raise your children (probably around the time it became en vogue to be a Black homosexual), but that must end. If you have a young male/little boy and he has no father or male role model to look towards, guess who will fill that space in his life? Either mama or the street. Once this young man grows up some and finds himself a legal adult with absolutely nothing, he becomes the embodiment of "the most dangerous man in the world". At that point, you can see the police coming...

Another thing we have to do is study what our enemy does far more intently. Karl Rove is taking pages right out the Joseph Goebbels playbook and it's working. Crackers are salivating at anything George Bush and the Republicans say. They could say "we're putting all the niggers back in slavery" tomorrow morning and these crackers would be right behind them. So it's time to figure out what techniques they are using and use them to bring all our people in line. I haven't quite figured it out yet, but it has something to do with the size of the lie you tell and them immediately tarring anyone that dares to disagree with you (think Cynthia McKinney).

On the economic front, Blacks MUST become PRODUCERS and stop being such CONSUMERS. Whether or not you like capitalism, you are a capitalist because you participate in the capitalist system. I buy my internet access, I buy food, I buy clothes. However, I don't sell anying, so I'm not enriching myself financially. We MUST become sellers. Although they aren't the best examples, rappers and drug dealers are producers and for the large part, fairly financially secure. Is there such a thing as dirty money? Not in my opinion. Not only do we have to become sellers and producers, we have to learn what to do with our money. How many times have you seen a Black business owner that thinks the cash register is his wallet? That's a business that is certainly going to chapter 13. Money you make from your business, part of it you pay yourself with, part you reinvest in the business. That's what Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Sean Combs, Master P and others did. Jermaine DuPree did too, but he forgot to pay his taxes (whitey is always watching you). Let's not forget investing because the returns from invested money are the LEAST taxed while returns from earned money are the MOST. Look at your pay stub if you think I'm lying.

Socially, we have to get back to a unified front. What happened to the days when more people than naught were down with Black power. Some Blacks think of that as so passé now. What's passé about loving your own kind and wanting to uplift them from where they are?

Medically, the gig is up. The sedentary lifestyle, our diet, the KKKool cigarettes, our fear of doctors, all this must end. We have to be a group of svelt people because this unhealthiness is costing us money and time and wise old people that probably have useful information for us. Less television, more exercise.

I just think -- to sum up -- if we could put the same amount of energy and enthusiasm into things that count, like education, financial literacy, business development, and racial uplifting, that we do in bullshit, like church (preacher's rich, everyone else is poor) dancing, entertainment and basketball, we wouldn't be where we are now. We have to use the tools available at our disposal, namely books and the internet, to advance ourselves.

(I'm basically advocating a "quiet gathering" of our people rather than a cacophonous one.)

Just my $0.02. Throw your rocks at me.

Nah man. We aint gonna throw rocks at you. We FAMILY!!!

I do want to "compare" and "contrast" some of my observations with yours though, because I think we are going in the same direction and WE CAN HELP EACH OTHER understand the map better if we communicate with each other.

TERMS. You ever met those people who don't like to be "LABLED?" It seems to me that "MANY" people don't like "TERMS" now-a-days. We had an interesting discussion go down in here about how we define "political prisoners." What made it so interesting? I think the proper usage of TERMS is CRUCIAL to us having a solid foundation from which to operate from. If we want to support our political prisoners, I think it would help if we CLEARLY knew what a political prisoner was. How are "WE" to get Freedom if some of us think Freedom is "a state of mind" while some of us think Freedom is "material based" (and it might be BOTH)?

I think that "strategies" are the different ways that you go about implementing "tactics" and I think that "tactics" are the way to achieving the "objective." For example...the "objective" of the A-APRP is "Pan-Africanism." We use the TERM "Pan-Africanism." We don't mind being "LABLED" as "Pan-Africanists" because thats what we are. We have a CLEAR definition of Pan-Africanism. A SOLID definition from which to operate off of. Our definition of Pan-Africanism comes out of the 5th Pan-Africanist Congress convened in 1945. Our definition of Pan-Africanism is "the total liberation and unification of Africa under scientific socialism." Part of our struggle is to get people to understand the objective. Believe it or not, alot of our people have the objective of reforming the amerikkkan capitalist system and fully assimilating within it. Not us. How do we go about bringing forth this objective? Through a whole host of strategies and tactics.

As you have indicated, our very first step should be simply for us to get organized. If we ALL start to join organizations, we might not see it in OUR particular generation, but there will come a generation who, knowing NOTHING BUT organization, will come to ADVANCE THE LEVEL of our organization, and move our struggle forward. Organization gives us MASS consciousness. COLLECTIVE consciousness. Back in the day, when ONE Muslim in the Nation of Islam said "the white man is the devil" in New York City...you better believe that ANOTHER Muslim in the Nation of Islam in L.A. was saying the same thing.

I think I covered all the points I wanted to cover. Wait...the "capitalist" thing. I have to say that I disagree with you "somewhat" on that. I think you had it right when you said we are "consumers" (and we live in a capitalist society), but I disagree that, because we participate in the capitalist system, we are OURSELVES capitalists. This is not true based off of the definition of a capitalist (or at least the way Marx defined the capitalists).

Hopefully somebody else will add some input. This was a good topic.

id throw it, if it was gold, your 0.02 is worth that

what is it that you pln to teach (educate, them to to what) education sometimes just sounds like a catch word
my suggestion math science medicine

as liberators we must provide a safty net to catch those with no family structure, as the pathers did, after their demise not strentgh in the neighborhodd only villians and predators, we became latch key kids

they use terror and disinformation, television and our self hate

anything economic by way of the american system is doomed to fail, we do not print any money nor do we have any raw materials

money is the ultimate variable, our thrust for money at the exclusion of everything else excpt clothes cars

the majority of my black coworkers do not even par take of 401K you save a 1.00, copanay matched .50

television is the main avenue white or negative black images are always in front imploring us to use this, like this,

lifestyles would hard press in adults, our savior is our children, we need to direct energies toward the youth, getting them into health and activities would be a worthwile venture

medically the biggest hurdle i agree, that alone should should be a main educational component

thanks for my 0.02
that makes 0.04
