The Institute recently began rehabbing a new facility. The facility will feature a hair salon, music studio, dance studio, Afrikan clothing store, technology center, rehearsal room for musicians, art room, outdoor educational area, a sewing room, garden and a full kitchen.

Youth will not only be trained to HELP with the rehabbing of this historic building, but they will trained to EARN A LIVING in the cultural arts that will be taught at the new Bakari Institute. Many youth are already performing locally and regionally with Bakari's dance troupe and drum ensemble.

The Bakari Institute is one of the last genuine Afrikan-centered organizations in St. Louis. They serve youth in communities where no one else seems to be interested in supporting and uplifting our youth.

Yeah..my wife has employed their dance and drum group before to perform at a function. the youth are on point. i took a tour of their new facility and was amazed at the rehabbing that KIDS are doing over there. The clincher is that they learn how to make a righteous living using the culture - whether its making afrikan clothes, making positive rap music, doing natural hair, drumming & dancing, or developing their skills on the computer. These folks are serious as a heart attack when it comes to empowering youth.

their old website is down this week for some reason. if it comes back up i will post the link.

I'ma get some taxes back in a week or two, and I'll send y'all minimum ten pounds (nineteen dollars). I would send more but I got to pay rent bills and food still, plus I got other people to send money to.
Y'all should link up with the Nubian School in Trinidad & Tobago if you haven't done so already.

I can spare whatever they need.

As I begin earning ends from my side hustle, I will send weekly. Right now, a sister is so broke and absent of Any ends. I am only wealthy in time for our seeds for now. Mentoring and being of assitance to our schools as a tutor and semi-teacher (learning about teaching and practicing sometimes) is all I can do at present.

I am signing off saying -- I'm on my way. I got yall. Always.
