YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER!!
The Philly Media and gov't is heavily focused on killing Mumia while they think nobody's looking, we have to let them know that we will never, ever, let them kill Mumia Abu-Jamal, and that we are ALL watching their shenanigans in local government and in local press!!
Local government has featured reports on Senate actions against Mumia. Recent Philly press, in totally unrelated stories, has featured interviewees in FOP t-shirts that call for the MURDER of Mumia! We must recognize it ALL for what it IS, an opportunistic chance to gather more proponents for the lynch mob that wants Mumia DEAD.
WE have to be ever vigilant, WE have to be ever on point, it's up to every one of US to make sure that the F.O.P. and their political bedfellows don't creep while we sleep!!! TAKE A STAND!!! Do whatever you can to beat back this latest series of attacks and support the ICFFMAJ and their VERY SERIOUS on the ground battles against the FOP and PA gov't officials!!!
FREE MUMIA AND ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!!!

WELCOME JULIA WRIGHT THIS MONDAY, JUNE 26, 2006!*
Julia Wright, daughter of Richard Wright and a legend in her own right, will be back in the U.S. after being a driving force behind the French Street naming for Mumia. Her consistent battle for Mumia has brought on the current controversy that is providing ample opportunity to educate people on Mumia's innocence! She is lauded tonight in NYC, will travel to Pittsburgh to organize and see Mumia this weekend, and will be here in Philadelphia on Monday.
*June 26 is an international day of solidarity with LEONARD PELTIER.* As we hold actions in Philadelphia, it is to draw attention to his case as well as Mumia's, and all political prisoners. We love our brother Leonard, and fight for him, as we hold him in the light!
Monday, at *10 am*, tune into *WURD 900 AM for Cody Anderson's show*. Julia will be interviewed to flesh out the work and revolution behind the current events for Mumia
*11:30 am*, join us at *Mayor Street's Office, on the 3rd floor of City Hall*. We are holding a *Snitch's Press Conference*. Street, DA Abraham, and all Philly officials are quick to urge the public to snitch on "criminals" in their community. We have some criminals we're willing to snitch on! They include: Mayor Street himself, DA Abraham herself, and all those involved in the frame-up of Mumia Abu-Jamal. You want to hear about a crime? You want the evidence? We have ALL of that to prove Mumia's innocence, undoubtedly.
THEY are guilty of abuse of power. THEY are guilty of abuse of trust. Mumia is INNOCENT! *Independent Media*: we need you there! Report the truth! Report the REAL story! We need photographers, filmmakers, journalists, and more. Document history!
*6 pm, join Sonia Sanchez, Pam Africa, and Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. at the American Friends Service Center's Rufus Jones Room for a reception for Julia. Stay with us for an important event at 7 pm where we will continue to strategize on continued resistance. *
Philadelphia City Council, U.S. Congress, and Pennsylvania State Congress all have resolutions condemning Mumia. This is an opportunity to demand that they hear the evidence of his innocence! Join us in this work! Call your radio stations, write your papers, call your representatives, and get the word out! Mumia is innocent and should be released!!!

Saturday, July 1st - 12pm - on Market between 5th and 6th Sts. in Center City Philly*
"How can there be Freedom when there are US Political Prisoners?"
*Demonstration*
*On Friday, June 30th (the night before the demo) we were planning on meeting at 6:30 pm at the Rotunda (40th and Walnut) to make signs and banners. However, at that time we were not aware of the conflict that it caused with the important HRC sponsored Poems not Prisons event. We are all a part of the same struggle and we definitely do not want to divide ourselves. We are asking that everyone please go to the A-Space on Friday night and support the event.*
On Friday, June 30th (the night before the demo) we will meet at 6:30 pm at the Rotunda (40th and Walnut) to make signs and banners, organize and view videos on political prisoners. Spread the word!

OnaMOVE!
This is Kevin of the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal. We are currently working on a very important demonstration for July 1st and we would like you to be involved. The focus of this demonstration is: “How can there be freedom when there are US Political Prisoners?”.
There are many of us in Philly who do political prisoner support work, work against the prison industrial complex, or do general human rights work. We are proposing that we all join together, across from the Liberty Bell, on July 1st, when thousands of International tourists will be present, to make a powerful statement about the lack of freedom in the United States.
There are many political prisoners from this area that need support; The MOVE 9 (going on 28 years incarcerated this August), Mumia Abu-Jamal (going on a quarter century in December), Russell Maroon Shoatz (now serving his 34th year) and more. Also, Leonard Peltier is now being held at SCI-Lewisburg, which is in PA.
July 1st is very significant to Mumia’s case because in 1982 Judge Sabo rushed through the trial proceedings and encouraged jurors to speed up their decisions so that they could all enjoy their Fourth of July weekend. For the past 24 years the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia have sponsored demonstrations for Mumia around July 4th for this reason. Also, this June 26th marks 31 years since the shoot out on the Pine Ridge reservation which led to Leonard Peltier being railroaded.
We will be meeting on Market between 5th and 6th streets in Center City Philly (across from the Liberty Bell) at noon on Saturday, July 1st. We are asking you to please spread the word, send emails, call your phone tree, ect. Please bring signs or banners to the event to represent a political prisoner or someone wrongly accused that you do support work for or make and bring signs regarding political imprisonment in general.
FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!!!
"We must continue to move forward and do everything we can to outlaw legal lynching in America. We must continue to stand together in unity and to demand a moratorium on all executions. You must stay strong. You must continue to hold your heads up, and to be there. We will prevail. Keep marching Black people. They are killing me tonight. They are murdering me tonight." -- Excerpts of Last Words of Bro. Shaka Sankofa, an innocent man executed by the state of Texas, 6/22/00. www.myspace.com/nattyreb7
