To assist rising artists, Rolex created its Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative: an international program that brings masters together with highly promising young artists for a year of one-to-one guidance, instruction and inspiration. Through this program, Lara Foot Newton has been the protégée of Sir Peter Hall, titan of British theatre and founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Tshepang is produced for duckrabbit and Mopo Productions by Lara Foot Newton/Maurice Podbrey with assistance from Mannie Manim and The Baxter Theatre. The play was originally produced with support from Pro Helvetia, Stockholms Stadsteater, The Baxter Theatre and The Barney Simon Memorial Trust.
