October 26th: "Making Revolution in the USA"
A Program and Talk Presented by Revolution Books
at the Schomburg Center in Harlem


On Sunday, Oct 26th, at 1 PM at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Revolution Books will present a program titled: "Making Revolution in the USA." This event will feature a presentation by a representative of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA followed by questions and answers. The speech will address and delivering a resounding yes to the following questions:

• Do we need a revolution and a radically different society?
• Is revolution really possible in a country like the US?
• Is there actually a strategy and method for approaching how to make such a revolution?
• Is there a group that is organized on the basis of that strategy and method that is working for such a revolution and could lead that revolution when the time is right?

Today is a time when the world is crying out for radical change. Wars for empire, countless millions living on the edge of starvation, thousands dying from diseases that could be easily prevented or cured, fundamentalist religion permeating every sphere of society and more. These developments have many, many people agonizing over what if anything could be done to radically transform society and the world.

It is also a time when people are told again and again that this kind of change is neither possible nor desirable. That the best the could be done is making adjustments to what already exists—tinkering, with the blood-soaked arrangements of empire. Or maybe buying into Obama and the change we're being allowed to believe in.

The program on Oct 26th will be a breath of revolutionary fresh air. It will take on this conventional wisdom and declare to one and all that revolution is both necessary and possible. That there is a Party that still dares dream of revolution. A Party that has developed a strategy and method for approaching how to make such a revolution and is working to bring such a revolution about when the time is right.
