| 5/19 Honor Malcolm X in Harlem
Malcolm X Tuesday, May 19, 2009 Assemble: 12PM Sharp Harlem State Office Bldg. for 20th Anniversary of BLACK POWER MARCH and 125th St. Business Shut Down 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Nowhere in the world is Malcolm X honored like he is in his political birth place, Harlem. Nowhere does an entire central business district shut down to honor this great hero like it does in Harlem. Because Black people demand it. Take pride in the 20 year battle to make this honor a reality - If Malcolm was alive he would be in the streets with us, demonstrating Black Power in a world that challenges our lives everyday. Malcolm lives! When we are fighting back.... This year remember... Message to the Grassroots To honor Malcolm is to honor the best in ourselves. This is no time to sit back or sit down. A Black man in a White House does not make it ours. ONLY YOU are the key to your self-determination and Black Power. Wall Street's government is still stealing our homes; police still killing our children; schools still not teaching our kids; sealthcare still out of reach and no jobs for our people... In the spirit of Malcolm X, to the streets for our human rights. omowale clay December 12th Movement Black Men's Movement Malcolm X New Millenium Commttee Patrice Lumumba Coalition
