 The BLACK AUGUST HIP HOP PROJECT 2009
The BLACK AUGUST HIP HOP PROJECT strives to Promote Human Rights through supporting and influencing The global development of Hip Hop Culture. By facilitating Exchanges between International communities where Hip Hop is a vital part of youth culture, we promote awareness About the social and political issues that affect our global Communities. Our vision is to bring culture and politics together and to allow them to naturally evolve into a unique Hip Hop consciousness that informs our collective struggle for a more just, equitable and humane world. Lineup so far: Bobbito Garcia Sadat X Rebel Diaz A-Alikes Blitz the Ambassador Shadia Mansour DJ Beverly Bond DJ Reborn Bazaar Royale Divine of the Dey DJ Brina Payne Toni Blackmon The show will be held at BB King's Bar & Grill located at 237 West 42nd Street. Tickets are $20 and are on sale now at the venue and through ticketmaster. The show date is on 8/30/09. Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm.
