Quiet Storm is a highly challenging new black feature film, produced
in the London by ITS CINE and directed by Shango B'Song. ITS Cine is
an independent Black feature film and television production company in London. This film addresses the world-wide struggle of African peoples for freedom. It is a very moving and engaging Black action thriller, full length feature film with a slight political twist, which screened successfully at various locations throughout the UK and Europe.
The film revolves around four black men who met at a Pan-African conference and and conclude that for there to be positive
change in social and economic conditions, the policies of corrupt
leaders, the IMF and World Bank must be dealt with. They confront the
corrupt puppet African leaders and their powerful patrons who have misappropriated the continents resources; thus, sentencing her people to a life of deprivation. The film is 2.5 hours in duration.
The film has was nominated for a Screen Nation Film Award in the
category of Independent Production/Film in England in September of 2004.
