The installation code (Product Key) is in the text file. so have that written down (on the CD ) before installing XP. as always, DO A CLEAN INSTALL on a good spacious drive of at least 40GB. Boot your PC from the CD Drive to perform a clean install. I recommend an 80GB drive size or partition for XP Pro.

Additionally, when installing XP it is best to kep your documents and Windows XP installed on a SEPERATE PARTITIONS or a SEPARATE DRIVES.

This is to safeguard you against viruis attacks. in the event of a serious virus, or a Windows XP malfunction, you can reinstall XP or Restore an old backup, and YOUR DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE AFFECTED

TO move your documents into a spererate drive into a folder its only 3 steps.

1. Make a new partition, or install a new Drive. it should be labels as the "D:/" drive, or the next available drive letter.

2. Make a new folder entitled "Your Name's Documents" within that drive or partition.

3. Left click on the start up menu. right click on My documents. goto properties. Choose "Move...". Select the folder u just created. CLick "oK". Choose "yes" if they ask about move anything.[COLOR="Silver"]
