African Muslim is beaten-in critical condition

Dear Muslims and other respected peoples, I have received news tonight that an African Muslim brother who is elderly was beaten badly early Wednesday morning. He is currently in a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition. His name is Abdullah Salim.

Insha' Allah, please make Du'ah for him and ask Allah to punish equally the person who has comitted this crime against our brother. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I don't know at this point but I can say that I am pretty sure it was not an arab or the pigs because there aren't many arabs here and we would have found out if it was the pigs. From my understanding, it was probably a young person in a gang looking for an easy target or a random mugging. As soon as I find out more, I will post the details. I intend to go visit the brother in the hospital tomorrow, but he is in a coma so is not able to talk.

UPDATE: I visited the brother today and he is still in a coma. I found out that he has been stable since he arrived at the hospital (that may be a good or bad sign), and that he ahs been there since Monday, not Wednesday.

Please continue to pray for him to regain his health, insha' Allah, and please ask Allah to punish whoever did this to him.
