Was Hannibal Black???????

I was looking for famous Black queens and Kings of Africa when i saw Hannibal the Carthagian general of carthage. who is considered to be one of the finest military generals in history was on the list of the great AFRICAN KINGS... website here http://www.swagga.com/king.htm check him out on there.

Also, I decided to go a black history site and try to find out if Hannibal was truly an African. I got this picture of him by an artist on that webite....looks black on that pic...... I just recenlty found out that theres a move in progress staring Vin Diesel about Hannibal. Sounds like another passion of christ movie, you know how they say its so historically accurate but a white guy played jesus.... I know this may be a newbie question but i figure if someone would know if Hannibal was black my brothers and sisters on here would know....I hope

Right now, a new epic movie titled Hannibal is in the making. I am fairly sure that I read that Vin Diesel will be playing Hannibal, but people were thinking of Denzel Washington because they were debating whether or not he was black. Anyway there is controversy, as well there should be, about whether Hannibal was black or had a little bit lighter color skin. Now, my personal belief is that Hannibal could have been black due to the fact that Carthage is located in Africa. Also, carthaginian were desendents of the phonicans. Ancient phonicans were semetic people. Semitic is a linguistic term referring to a subdivision of largely Middle Eastern Afro-Asiatic. Afro-asiatic!!!!!!! not indo-earopean, Afro-asiatic. I'm pretty sure he was black
