| Is Assata safe??
Now that Fidel Castro has resigned from Office and his brother has taken official power, what will happen with the american/Cuban relations? The younger brother is already 76 years old so he might not hold on too much longer.. and if the american govt wanted to assassinate him, it wouldnt affect world politics as it would if it was Castro.... and then america would install their own puppet... which is the name of the game.... my biggest question....... what does this official change of govt in Cuba mean for our Sista Assata Shakur? will Cuba, in an attempt to have good relations with america, expel its political refugees? Is Assata safe??

I'm not really sure what in the world are you all Castro resigned he was not forced out. Obviously he is comfortable enough with the current administration to resign.

Great Question Warrior King I think we are ignoring the real power in Cuba... The People! The Cuban Revolution spearheaded by Fidel has the overwhelming support of The Revolutionary Cubans In Cuba, If it were not for this fact, the small nation, with very few natural resources 50 miles off the coast of the most powerful imperialist nation ever, would not exist as we know it today, credit must be given to the masses of Cubans for their continued support of not only Mama Assata or the hundreds of our people who took refuge there, Afrika itself is gracious for the many Cubans who fought and died on Afrikan soil, which ultimately caused the total collapse of apartheid and put in motion the liberation of the entire southern portion of Afrika. Its safe to say Cuba to date is the most Revolutionary state in the world... and Mama Assata couldn't be anywhere safer.  ps Cuba has more doctors in Afrika, than any other nation.....

It wasnt a coup...or whatever. The man, FREELY, resigned. And he loves humanity and loves his people, so I feel as though Assata and the other political prisoners that Cuba is protecting are in secure hands. Castro organizes... not just leaves and leave the people without any structure. |
