| Mk . Ghandi Of India And N . Mandela Of Azania ( South Africa ) . Mk . Ghandi Of India And N . Mandela Of Azania ( South Africa ) .
A friend writes and comments to me ; BTW - why did Nelson Mandela try and get rid of all the Indians and Paki muslims from the ANC ? after all they did it was a bit of a stab in the back.......
I have thought for a long time and as I promised to him one day to talk of it ( of his querry ), here are my comments to him about the relationship that created itself between the Indians of Ghandi and the ANC of Mandela in Azania ( South Africa ) : I would appreciate more comments from you please readers of this Article .
Heroes may be considered standard bearers, models that exemplify all that is good, noble and humane. But when we look at some of the supposedly Great People of the world, we find often hidden Horrendous EVILS behind their saintly halos, facts that show a different picture of them, a picture which reflects why they in the first place have been chosen to be made into icons. Because they were in varying degrees, all bearers of the hierarchical mind state.
MK . Ghandi ( the Indian ) , is one , as considered sacred pantheon of the global order. He is presented as the pacifist, humanist and all encompassing saint to put it mildly. Further research though reveals a dark side. For one reason M K Ghandi was loyal to imperialism and during the course of his career, he displayed caste based discriminatory sentiment, as well as blatant racism.
We are often told of his heroic struggle in South Africa but rarely are we told of the basis of his actions. A look into some of his writings reflects clearly a picture somewhat different than what we are taught by today’s propaganda artists.
In 1896, September 26th, he wrote “ ours is one continued struggle sought to be inflicted upon us by the Europeans, who desire to degrade us to level of the raw kaffir, whose occupation is hunting and whose sole ambition is collecting a certain number of cattle to buy a wife, and then pass his life in indolence and nakedness”.
In 1905, march 25th, in the “Indian Opinion” he wrote about a Bill regulating the use of fire arms:“In the instance of fire arms, the Asiatic has been most improperly bracketed with the natives. The British Indian does not need any such restrictions as imposed by the Bill on the natives regarding the carrying of firearms. The prominent race can remain so by preventing the native from arming himself. Is there any slight vestige of justification for so preventing the British Indian ?"
In 1906, June 2nd, Ghandi stated again in the “Indian Opinion”: Thanks to the court decision, only clean Indians and other colored people other than kaffirs, can travel in trains.
MK . Ghandi furthermore felt it was his duty to participate in the quelling of the Zulu uprising ( the Bambata Rebellion of 1906 ) and volunteered to lead a brigade of Indians. He received a medal for valour under fire. Though it can be argued, that his statements following the war, reveal a greater solidarity with Africans , they still do not change the fact that Ghandi was fighting for ( in South Africa - AZANIA ) the civil rights of Indians as British citizens within the British Empire. No more, no less.
The essence of my argument is that no people are endowed by God, the universe, evolution or fate to control, enslave and dominate. No group of people have the right to set themselves up apart from the rest of society or humanity as a dominant elite.
Mandela is not such a holy saint as is believed by the British as to the extend of a statue making Live in the Heart of London City ( UK ) of him . Funny indeed where Mandela has fooled the Africans where he in realty has done nothing good to the Africans as President of AZANIA ( South Africa ) . In short Mandela has always then lived with imperialistic mind too like M K Ghandi .
